He was so perfectly Gene Kelly in that AS. And he went on to play the same role as Gene Kelly in On the Town in 2017. But sure BBC, Ore was the Gene Kelly of that year 🙄

(This dance was sublime. I’m still mad now that Darcey disliked that brilliant leap so much that she kept the dance from getting the perfect score it deserved. Has there ever been another dance that got a 10 from Craig but not one of the other judges?)

I think Len a couple of times? Austin's paso and Kara's AS from (probably faulty) memory

Oh I haven't watched that in ages! Just brought me to tears. Such a gorgeous dancer. So natural it's just sublime.

Jumping on the pile in 🙋
only because when Bobby pulled Dianne's head into his arse/balls he knew where he wanted her face to go and technically in a work environment it's iffy to make a woman do that.
She might not of wanted to be pulled into that area of him and he needs to be a bit more aware I can't think of many professional situations where you would risk setting a girl up to land her face into an intimate part of your body without you getting a warning
What on earth are you accusing him of???

He definitely gave a 10 to one of Rachel’s many repetitions of the rhumba. She and Vincente ground him down in the end … only for Alesha to be the unexpected hold out and give it a 9.

I remember once Anton did a knee slide across the dancefloor and skidded face first in his dance partner's crotch.
Just can't remember who the woman was.

It was funny, though. Not sleazy.

Back to the Danny Mac year................... Me and everyone I know was going OMG he's Gene Kelly reincarnated. What a dancer! He's awesome.

And when they gave Tiny Tears the Singing in the Rain number with little miss twee Clifton the angry text messages were flying. Everyone was going WTF???????? It was the last straw.

I spent most of that series being furious at the judges and Ore.

I loved Austin’s paso (and his jive). I’ve just looked and Len only gave it an 8. And he gave Kara’s AS a 7! I can’t remember why he disliked it so much but I’m going to guess it was do with rule-breaking or faffing about since it was Len.

Too much time out of hold, I think for that one.

Tiny tears 🤣🤣 god. I hated Ore that year. Still scowl when I see him on TV 😂
Oh god, same. And I think him and Danny are actually friends, which makes me chuckle as Danny Mac has clearly gotten over being robbed more than any of us have!🤣
My husband hates Strictly and has probably sat through a grand total of 18 seconds of it over its entire 20 year history, but if it’s ever mentioned in front of him he still just says “bloody Ore” or “Danny and Oti were robbed” because that’s all he’s heard about it for the last however many years 🤣

Ha. Yes!! I actually said this to my husband the other day while discussing ringers (& he pretends he’s listening) - Ore & Danny appear to still be good mates so I should probably get over it 😂

nice to see fleur's come as dennis the menace for halloween

Here we go, unnecessary false laughter, daft questions and closed questions from Fleur.

It is like sitting at a table with people you don't know and are not really interested in but have to make conversation.

Has this really been rehearsed?

Adams ill again??
Not great to miss it takes two the day before live show
Will he make a miraculous recovery in time to dance 🤔
He has rheumatoid arthritis doesn’t he?
Mum has that … when she’s had her injection a couple of days later she just crashes and has an absolute ‘missed’ day and then she’s fine. Also, if she’s had a cold or been a bit under the weather again, she can have a day when she just needs to rest and then is fine.
I’m not his biggest fan, but I imagine the long days and training could be hard to negotiate with a new diagnosis and treatment.

I know there was some chat this week about Strictly backstage drama we weren’t aware of and a clip from an old interview with Jamelia just came up on my FYP where she talks about how the Strictly team would repeatedly tell her that her hair wasn’t elegant, that she needed to relax (permanently straighten) her hair and how she had to do her own hair and make-up each week because there was no one who knew how to do it for her.

As a black woman myself, I’m not surprised but it’s so disappointing that she was dealing with that. It was only in 2015 which wasn’t that long ago - and the same year that Oti joined. I’d love to know how much work Oti had to do to instigate change in the hair and make-up department because I remember her always wearing wigs and weaves in her early years compared to rocking her natural hair in later series.

I'm sorry but if you can't work with all skin types/ tones or hair types maybe working on hair and make up for a television show isn't for you.
