I have my suspicions, have done since late August. She also unfollowed him for a short time, ( could have been an insta glitch though) but I noticed he was back on there last week. I know he was going on a 3 month social media break, so maybe that? Seems unusual her mum is here for such a long time too. Hope she’s ok.
By the time we get to the later stages of the competition even the Beryl’s take the actual dancing into account. If Nigel is consistently tit every week then that vote will only get him so far, probably Blackpool. I don’t think think that will be the case though, I think he will step it up in the next few weeks.

just more that the FB beryls think he’s a lovely young man and his mum would be so proud. and he can obviously cultivate a wide-eyed gaze in the way that only a young male contestant can get away with. the beryl vote is indeed a strong one. doubled up with the “aw isn’t he sweet” vote, he’s going all the way to the final.
True, but I do feel like this year is a lot more open than previous years and will continue to be so the voting is very unpredictable. It will be interesting to see what happens when we lose the likes of jody, adam etc and if one of the contenders manages to get themselves ahead of the others.

There was definitely a positive response when he was announced as a competitor. He started off well and gave some credible performances. Will also inadvertently ended up giving us many hours of entertainment, of course, not always due to his dancing.
I like Nigel, totally agree re his attitude. I like his self deprecating manner, and I hope he and Katya move well up the leaderboard in the coming weeks. They started really strong, but last week wasn't their best.
I am also mildly surprised that Shirl isn't drooling over him like she did over Will, until the night of THE CAPE...
i just use it as a term to refer to the “standard” middle aged lady strictly voters - they usually hate people who they perceive to be ringers or people who have gone to stage school, very picky and harsh about most female contestants, love a journey (for a male contestant).…. definitely not you lovely meghan!

Tom Chambers will always be my most hated winner, I honestly considered never watching it again when that bleep won.
