I just read Annabel's interview in the DM about losing her husband. Very sad, but her talking about how they recruited her friend, a cancer researcher, to help 'reverse' her husband's cancer pinged some alarm bells. Looking up this researcher on Twitter, she is an anti-vax crank, long Covid denier, who hangs out with the likes of Neil Oliver, and promotes a low-carb diet as a cure for cancer and Covid. Oh, and is also a transphobe. Dangerous to promote these people to gullible readers who might mistakenly believe cancer can be 'reversed'.

Anyway, on a lighter (?) note, Neil in drag. God help us.
I thought the same about Annabel's interview. The researcher sounded like a complete crank. She was also exceptionally negative about the medical professionals involved, which if true, was appalling but perhaps she needs to take a little time after going through such trauma before giving such interviews.

Aww I think she’s so likeable and I’ve warmed to her so much and Gorka is doing his best but the poor girl just can’t dance at all.

Yeah, it's not like Nikita doesn't have the right attitude or anything like that. I just think it's a combination of not being a natural mover and the whole experience (live TV, massive audience etc) getting in her head quite a lot, which can be difficult to shake off

I think in the context of the whole cast/pairings, Gorka was a good match for her - someone kind who she could have a laugh with. As it's probably her last show, I just hope she has a nice time and Craig doesn't completely rip her to shreds

It probably helps that Gorka is not in big competitive mode this year (not to say he's not trying) but will have realised pretty quickly Nikita can't dance, and he's presumably quite happy to get home tonight soon. Whereas some of the other pros might be more frustrated.

Yeah, I think it's kind of similar to when he danced with Katie Piper - just focusing on making sure she has a nice time and doing a dance she can enjoy before she leaves

Absolutely agree, and as I said upthread she comes across really likeable and doing her best.
She and Gorka have worked hard together and seem to get on well. I definitely wouldn't like to see any of the judges tearing her down.

Just to add, I enjoyed their dance the last night, it looked really fun.

I also think Krishnan is looking pretty decent. I really hope he's worked on selling his performance, as that will carry him well during the routine even if his footwork falters.

What are we thinking about Eddie? Popular film and song, I felt like he could do this well and have a bit of a break-through, but that clip didn't look especially inspiring.

I can't wait for Nigel and Katya's routine - it looks like brilliant madness and I'm here for it!

Angela S, Ellie and Layton also looking good. I think Krishnan will be surprisingly good tonight too.

Love love Nigel and Katya. That man has never ever changed, he is what he is, love his clearness of thought, unafraid to have a varied career, deciding to leave Eastenders when he could easily have stayed, although I was pretty devastated when he died on screen. Katya must be having the best time in training and dancing with him. So talented, respect to him.

With Gio it is all about if they can dance, Amanda obviously can but he still treats it as all this Strictly stuff is way beneath him now.

Krishnan is impressing and Lauren is the perfect partner for him. He comes across as a lovely man too.

Still cannot warm to the Bobby and Dianne combo, am thinking it is Dianne with her less than eye catching choreography, she tries new moves sometimes but look as if they are over thought out and awkward.
