Videos from ITT of today’s camera blocking. Angela S, Layton looking v good. Nikita, oh dear. Angela R appears to be doing it at half speed but no doubt will be praised to the rafters

That is a ridiculously slow quickstep by Angela R. The judges surely should mark it acccordingly like they would do the other couples. It is more like the pace of a foxtrot, with quickstep steps. 🥴

Is it me or is Janette a million times better this year? She seems to have bought more of herself to it.

(In my defence I'm tired and have had vodka)
One million per cent agree. I have found myself liking her! She’s quieter, listens more, is more compassionate and what she says is useful. When she told one of them (Ellie?) that she did some good moves, it went down so well.

She was improving In the last series I thought but she has definitely got into her stride now, which is nice to see.
She goes with a formula, imo, to some extent but it's fine and it's working for her. It looks and sounds more conversational than her presenting style was, before.

I find Motsi significantly less of an irritant on the German one. Granted I can only understand about 10% of what she's saying (not that far off when she's speaking English tbf 😂 ) but she seems to be the sensible judge there, whereas on Strictly the producers probably want her in the Bruno role. Perhaps this year she and Anton have decided to take turns giving technical feedback and 'wow, energy' gibberish, since she seems to have already given as much useful feedback this year as in the whole of the last 2 series.

I'm thinking she's wanting to be seen as more of a serious judge in case Shirley leaves and she's the only Latin expert left.

I just read Annabel's interview in the DM about losing her husband. Very sad, but her talking about how they recruited her friend, a cancer researcher, to help 'reverse' her husband's cancer pinged some alarm bells. Looking up this researcher on Twitter, she is an anti-vax crank, long Covid denier, who hangs out with the likes of Neil Oliver, and promotes a low-carb diet as a cure for cancer and Covid. Oh, and is also a transphobe. Dangerous to promote these people to gullible readers who might mistakenly believe cancer can be 'reversed'.

Anyway, on a lighter (?) note, Neil in drag. God help us.

She really can't - she does come across well and likeable, imo.

And I think she is doing her best. Gorka is absolutely trying to play to her strengths and encourage her, but if she is not the next out, I will be very surprised.
Aww I think she’s so likeable and I’ve warmed to her so much and Gorka is doing his best but the poor girl just can’t dance at all.
