i miss darcey! she was such a lovely and calming presence - would have her back in a heartbeat.

i don’t mind shirley for the most part but every series she seems to have a few episodes where she’s just in a Mood. she obviously knows her stuff and what she says is usually right but her tone sometimes just isn’t needed. likewise the chiding the audience.

But it’s not consistent so therefore don’t believe it’s genuine. She’ll say one person was amazing when they were quite clearly weren’t and glosses over any errors but with people she obviously doesn’t like she makes what are often tiny little errors out to have completely ruined their performance.
 
This week's thoughts as I went along.

Vicky hates Dianne. More I see of Bobby the more I'm disliking him. Also don't know if I'm actually disappointed that their Charleston wasn't to Postcode Lottery themed.

A theme of being in a giant ball bit- Has Strictly jumped the shark?

Hard not to be stompy with a prosthetic. It's like when they commented on Jonny Peacock's foot position. He's definitely improved on the performance side. And did so much on his own.

Gio manoeuvring Amanda like a rag doll. Gross last week he gave her a wet willy 🤢 .

Ellie and Vito so cute. Those rounded shoulders have disappeared already. Vito come sort mine out.

Oh Kat you're going to get some tit for that kiss. Would love these two to win. Shirl trying hard to protest she doesn't fancy Nigel when she's probably stuck to her seat.

Oh the monstrosity of that version of Single Ladies. The lifts did her bad. They should have found her something cooler that suited that she isn't as flexible. Pissy Gorka is on holiday this week.

No sorry I don't find Les entertaining at all. I wish I did.

Luba upset the hair team. They're getting their money's worth from this singer.

Just putting it out there Amanda is actually a better dancer than Rose. She's going to need to go to a clinic though putting her hoo ha so close to his face though.

The spread eagle lifts are just gross really aren't they? It's a lot to ask.

Krishnan I just smile.

Not fair Eddie getting it for Karen's choreo. Very fair points about the choreo but he can't really do anything it.

Bobby has his eyes on Zara.

Why are they infantalising Carlos again? More bad singing and crap costumes ruining a dance. The Irish dancing really paid off there.

Angela and Kai as expected really.

Nothing basic about that. Nikita is an amazing choreographer. Love that we're getting to see what he can really do.

Where's Michelle and Neil hiding? Nadiya is doing double duty.

Week 2 is always a bit rough and a slog isn't it? Glad of the fast forward button.

Excellent review.
I can't warm to Bobby and feel a bit bad as he is so young. It isn't his fault and he can't help it but his face is a bit sly.

Ugh I know such forced 'comedy.' I watched him on blankety blank afterwards and he was a lot more laid back and quite funny. He needs to not try so hard on Strictly cos it's not coming across well and doesn't fit the vibe of the show.

Dave essentially takes the spoiler that Juliet provides and puts it on his own website on which I believe he makes money from. Without her, he has nothing. He did the same with a poster on Digital Spy pre COVID who provided their spoilers. I believe that Juliet and co either have contacts at Strictly or are in contact with audience members to get the result.
