I was just compiling my list, and all of the above were on it too.

Along with Rachel & Vincents’s rumba & AT, Caroline & Pasha’s Charleston, Georgia & Giovanni’s Charleston, Faye & Gios’s CC, Bill & Oti’s CC, Jill & Darren’s jive, Patrick & Anya’s Charleston, Ashley & Pasha’s show dance …
 
Yeah, when I think of last year, I think of some dances I really enjoyed or admired (AJ and Kai's jive, several of Tilly and Nikita's, John and Johannes' pirates paso, and Adam and Katya's CCC (I also loved her climbing out of the piano). But none would be near my all-time list, which includes all the usual suspects, plus a couple by Matt and Flavia, Alesha, Jay, Debbie, and Ranvir (her VW). Oh, and of course, Ed Balls, Gangnam Style!
 
I bet Nadiya said to Matt that the rumba was her favourite dance and she enjoyed finally getting to do one on Strictly last year, and Matt just went with it because he has no idea what other dances there have been on Strictly 😆

I don't know what I'd pick as my favourite ever Strictly dance, there's the obvious ones like Jay's Jive and Danny's Samba, but I do like a dramatic dance, so maybe Anita and Gleb's Paso or Simon and Kristina's AT 💃

Special mention to this one for the hilarity it caused 😆

Possibly unpopular but I think Faye and Gio’s Argentine tango was incredible and very underrated in terms of choreography and execution. There was a definite lack of chemistry though.

Faye was prob one of my fave contestants but her personality never really came through. “Who really is Faye Tozer?” We still don’t know x

Mark Benton had knee trouble and at times he really struggled. In training he had all sorts of supports, strapping, etc.

Just the very best type of insane, we will never see Ivetas' like again, just a shame poor Marks' knees couldn't keep up with her strange and unfathomable genius.

A lack of chemistry is usually quite awkward to watch, but it was actually quite refreshing with them - Faye just got on with the dancing and didn't pander to the usual Gio partner storyline of more mature woman 'finding herself' (although maybe that's why she remains an enigma...)

I've felt this in most years to be honest. The men have got better in recent years (and I think Tyler, Matt & probably Will could be good) but it usually feels like a female dominated competition. 2015 was by far the worst for it. I'd quite like a reverse series where the men really dominate the competition (would help if they picked slightly younger guys IMO) and the likeable triers who get the public vote are women.

And the insane excellence of their ‘Lion King’ samba! 😍 Imagine what Iveta could have done with a ringer who was up for trying anything! It would have been AMAZING!! 🤩

Mark & Iveta are one of my all-time favourite couples, for the sheer adorability of their ‘doesn’t work at all on paper, but there’s a weird magic to it’ vibe (see also Gavin Henson & Katya V)

I have to say, I really don’t get why they rate Dianne so highly. We went to the professional tour and she was front and centre of that as well. She has had some good dances but a lot of the time her choreography is lost on me

They have a misguided belief that keeping her on the show means they'll rake in younger viewers. Clearly the Sugg fanbase isn't watching or voting though. I think this year is really her last chance, if she can't go far with her new partner then it's over.

Particularly since Tyler is probably her most talented partner to date.

Delighted someone else thought of Jill and Darren’s jive! When you hear “I’m Still Standing“, it reminds me of it.
