Helen Skelton was revealed on Claudia's Radio 2 show. I thought she sounded nice (I don't know much about her). I think it's shame Aljaz has left - surely he would have been the perfect partner for her? She needs someone there won't be romance rumours with, so maybe Gorka.

From Helen's interview, it sounds like she was a last minute booking - I can't believe they actually intended there to be 1 male pro and 4 female pros left so maybe someone who was supposed to be in a same sex pairing dropped out?

If not, wth did they hire all those extra pros. Although a lot of Strictly decisions make zero sense so who knows

I think they’ve lost quite a few pros recently and they probably want to mitigate more losses plus introduce new faces early so people are used to them if more old faces do leave.
 
Adding 7 new pros in the last two years isn’t really as bad as people think. But we’ve still gained more than we’ve lost and I’ll still think it’s poor form if they push out existing pros from getting a partner without a decent reason (eg injury/requested to benched for personal reasons etc)!

Obviously some made sense like Jowita being a direct “replacement” for Janette (tiny and doesn’t mind being thrown about in crazy lifts) Kai being a British male I think was a “replacement” for Kevin and was probably supposed to come in 2020 but covid. Nikita was obviously “replacing” AJ. Then two were needed this year to take the place of Oti and Aljaz but we got four.

The trouble is I like many here don’t see Cameron getting a partner I just don’t think he has it in him and he’s so young looking he’d look ridiculous dancing with a middle aged eastenders actress or wobbly ex politician. I’m not 100% sure on Carlos or Vito yet. But Vito looks like he loves himself too much and probably wouldn’t choreograph for his partner but himself.

The other issue is whilst I know they need a couple of spares just in case we do realistically have too many now especially as there’s the unnamed but recognisable additional dancers that pad out group numbers when needed (eg Jake Leigh) I’m not sure they really know what to do with most of them. Maybe production know something we don’t and some have said this will be their last year 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think we are going to have a female same sex partnership that may not have been announced for whatever reason (perhaps it shouldn't be, as nobody announces male/female pairings). My money would be on Ellie Simmonds getting Jowita (the very shortest pro)

As far as I know he isn’t technically a professional ballroom/Latin dancer in the same way the others are. Obviously he can dance ballroom/Latin well enough but I think he’s more just a general commercial dancer. He’s danced on loads of stuff and for Kylie/spice girls tour amongst others. I think he’s been involved with the dance convention Matt flint runs when not doing strictly. He seems to be busy enough so also probably can’t commit.

Nobody, there wasn’t a new Strictly announcement on Big Breakfast. It was Heather Small

The game was to guess who was in the loo. One of the clues was a glitterball (amongst others) as she was a former contestant

They never said it was a Strictly announcement it was just a guessing game for a surprise guest
 
This is the final line up how apparently but yesterday the press were saying there were two more announcements to come, which begs the question has someone dropped out at the last minute.
