I think people seriously underestimate how difficult it is for the pros. Not only do they have to choreograph/teach a brand new routine to the celebs every week but they also have to learn, rehearse & perform almost 20 pro dances over the course of the series. Gio, Gorka, Katya and i’m sure others have spoken in the past about how they pretty much become a support system for the celebs mentally too, that can’t be easy for them.
I think if looking at their celeb like they are the bestest thing in the dance world evah gives them enough confidence to get down the Strictly steps on a Saturday night, most pro’s would be looking at their celeb like a Labrador spotting a choc drop.

Well done on your defence. Everyone sees different sides to these situations. I read that article with a bit of a 😲at some of the comments which could be torn apart by the truth. I just see it as a bit of click-bait to drum up their tour, although it does not read well.

I remember the Gorka and Gemma year when they got together, they never denied anything during the series and they had different partners. He even dealt so well with Kevin getting the gig of partnering Alex when Neil was injured, it must have annoyed him but accepted it. IIRC he has since made some reference to it.

Lol, I can't tell if your first sentence is taking the mick or not.
I thought that Gorka kicked up a bit of fuss when Kevin got picked over him?

Your initial response wasn’t quite so chilled

There's no way that Kai should be benched either - he's a good teacher/choreographer who can work with pretty much any celeb and the competition kinda lost something with him going out first last year, I definitely missed his presence. The stuff he did with AJ and in Ireland shows he has plenty to offer the show.

Kaye was always earmarked for first elimination regardless of which pro she had, just like Jacqui Smith two years before. It wasn't a Nina Wadia style situation where the pro got the celeb booted early.

No I am not taking the mick, wouldn't do that. Was just agreeing with you that I thought his comments were very harsh and could only be directed at one person.

Although he did DWTS in Ireland, we know didly-squat as to who his partners were or how he got on with them. We only have the footage of his first series in the UK to judge, also his fleeting dances with Kaye.

We also don’t know how the questions were phrased and what he was asked … just because the comments follow on from each other in the article, doesn’t mean that’s how it was In the interview.
