I’m shocked we haven’t heard anything other than this rumour that has seemed to have gained ground. Suddenly everyone’ mother’s cousin’s uncle’s cat has heard Molly vs Fleur with Fleur out. Having said that it doesn’t seem too far fetched as they have been the favourites for the dance of the entire series.
 
Will was not good. Very disappointed if he goes through. He’s being annoying to Nancy as well talking over her.

I have to say I didn’t think it was very fair to get the pros - all of whom are speaking a second language, stressed and tired after just dancing and being marked, to talk off the cuff about their celebrity on live TV.

I mean, I'm not exactly a spring chicken myself 😂. I did think twice about putting that so apologies. But it was literally down to time constraint more than anything else as it was the shortest way to sum it up. But seeing as you asked, I'll show my workings and go into more detail:

Because if Will avoided the dance off, then that would mean he would have needed to beat either Helen or Hamza in the public vote. Because the polls had them far ahead of the others, I concluded that Will's vote would probably be coming from folk who aren't that familiar with twitter, twitter polls, online fanwarz etc etc, so *probably* older voters, and possibly female (because that's mostly who vote on Strictly anyway)

Agreed! I’m positively ancient but have voted for Gorka every week.
 
I said earlier that I like Will. I'm now going to really put my membership of this thread in jeopardy.

Vito does nothing for me 😳😳😳 But I'm thinking that the issue is the partnership with Fleur cos he showed a wee bit of personality last night after their Charleston and seemed quite endearing.

As I've said before, Fleur's just a Beyonce tribute act and she doesn't have the acting ability to being any emotion to the dances.

Compare Fleur and Vito's AT with Kym and Graz's AT - night and day difference..

I'll be interested to see how he fairs next year with a different partner. I wasn't keen on Nancy last year but I've loved her this year.

And if I've got a choice between Fleur and Molly in the final - it's Molly for me. I think she's a better dancer than Fleur.

Fine if you don't like Fleur - but to call her a 'Beyoncé tribute act' - I've never seen Beyoncé do a quickstep or a Neapolitan-themed Charleston, or a waltz...

Anyway, not surprised if Fleur had wardrobe malfunctions in the dress run - that dress was not designed/constructed for a well-built woman!
 
It's not a vintage year for dancing, there's no one that's amazing. So many of them seem really one dimensional. Molly is sweet, Will is grumpy and full of sob stories and even Hamza is the standard nice guy, Helen is reserved northern lass. Fleur seems to have more personality but is often too frantic.

I still love Strictly but I don't really care who wins this year.

It isn't the first time that I have seen someone refer to Fleur as a 'Beyoncé tribute act'. I don't really get it because I have also never seen Beyoncé doing Ballroom or Latin dancing.

Unfortunately it was the Couples Choice that cemented it for me. There was very little partner dancing in that routine - it was all Fleur - doing a Beyonce type dance.

I know it's meant to show off the celebrity but it looked like a solo routine thar they tried to fit Vito into, rather than a routine for both of them. And it was never worth 40.

To be frank, she'd have been better doing a wafty no shoes contemporary routine to show a different side of her (obviously not in Blackpool but on a different week.)

i don’t understand it either. well i do but i’m not getting into that.

destiny’s child CC aside there has been nothing beyoncé like about any of her dancing because, why would there be?

It seems a bit weird with the costumes this year, don’t know if it is because of cutbacks but they seem very underprepared. There is one of the team on twitter, her name escapes me at the mo, and she is always heading into the studio on the day if filming to make costumes. Fleur’s Beyonce outfit was cut and assembled without a pattern on the day for example.

There were plenty of moments in Fleur's CC where her and Vito were dancing together. For example, the bit on the steps at the start, the bit after they came down the steps, and the lose my breath section etc...

You may have thought that it wasn't worth a 40, but the judges did so that is all that matters.
