Italian DWTS is wild- between the soft porn dances and the forcing contestants to compete through injury. I wonder how many seconds it took Vito to say yes to Strictly and escape 😆

you described it so well but even then i wasn’t expecting THIS 🤣😧

are they trapped in a big ball of twine?! i am confused but would also like vito to grope my boob like that. ideally not while trapped in a ball of twine though.
 
I wish the judges would pick dances that can actually be improved on, since that it the entire point of them picking one. While I liked Helen’s jive, it was perfect apart from the tiny timing error which she fixed immediately. Hamza’s salsa aswell they couldn’t really give a proper reason as to why it didn’t get 40 so there will be no noticeable difference between this time and the last. I much prefer it when you can look back on the original and compare the two

I assume with Helen's CC one of the purposes might be so it finally gets a 40 so I can see that - I imagine Craig might give it a 10. Hamza's CC too possibly. With Fleur's I think the risk is that it's not as good, especially without backing dancers, so she gets a lower score. That was the reason St. Jay didn't want to sully his holy jive in the final, to the rage of viewers (not the score but doing it less well).

The judging is nuts as well - sometimes the judges award a 0 not because of the dancing but because they disagree with the circumstances. A judge once gave a 0 to the first same-sex pairing because he didn't agree with same-sex dancing and then in this series, one of judges gave a 0 for 3 weeks in a row to Pasquale La Rocca and his partner because she didn't agree with them staying in instead of withdrawing due to injury - even though they were likely forced to stay in.

It just seems like a silly reality show to me rather than having any relation to dancing.

i fully get that logic. i know everyone wanted jay’s jive again but i like that it’s stayed exactly as it was in that moment.

the biggest risk with repeating showstopping dances, or dances where you got a 40, is that the sense of surprise is gone. especially with youtube when everyone has watched it multiple times before you do it again. if there’s something within it that you can do better then sure, but i don’t get redoing a 40.

it may genuinely just be that fleur knows she isn’t going to win and just wants to do a dance that she really enjoyed for her final one with vito though.
