Just catching up on Friday's dances on YouTube.

Fleur/Vito: Glad to see Fleur and Vito get on with the dancing. Lovely choreography, and while Fleur's reflexes could've been sharper in the faster phrases, she danced this routine with elegance, grace, and adaptable pace. My favourite dance of the night.

Hamza/Jowita: A bit too slow for a samba for my liking, but it was pleasant. I was happy to see Hamza attempt a batucada with some actual hip action, too. The last time I saw an attempt was Maisie's samba in S18. I've noticed many couples avoid it like a plague nowadays, which I partly understand, since it's difficult to articulate, let alone master, but at the same time, it's one of samba's signature moves.

Helen/Gorka: Before watching this, I read the YouTube comments, and it was basically a copypasta wall of 'ZOMG she stuck her two fingers up to her ex and really showed him -- amazing dance!' I agree it was a good routine, but more choreographically than executionally. Helen could've finessed her moves more, though I liked her characterisation, and I could tell she really had fun with the dance.

Kym/Graziano: Great to see Kym bounce back after illness, but along with Will's routine (below), this was one of the night's most forgettable dances. I didn't like the breakdown segments either. It also lacked sharpness, which is understandable given Kym's state. I wouldn't be surprised if she's in the Dance Off.

Molly/Carlos: An all-round solid Charleston packed with actual moves and very little 'silliness' that many misconstrue the Charleston as being. I know some people will compare this to Georgia May Foote's routine to the same song, but one thing I liked about Mollos' one is they had more in-hold partner dancing, which isn't common in SCD Charlestons overall. I suspected this would be Molly's best dance, and it was.

Will/Nancy: Too much faffing about at the beginning, where Will, out of hold, looked like Dave the builder trying to dance elegantly. In hold, he was a lot better, but the constant hold-breaking made this foxtrot a choppy watch. My least favourite dance of the night. I'd like Will to join Kym in the Dance Off, though I suspect he won't.

Question: are the pro dances pre recorded or are they danced “live” during the show?
( I know the result shows are pre recorded but are they live when they are supposed to be live… I hope that makes sense lol)

It wasn't great I would probably just watch the dances on youtube.
You would miss a great piece of unintentional comedy in Gorka trying to be a Sexy Prowling Cat, and instead just terrifying the life out of Hamza and Jowita though.

Also, I cannot shake the feeling that this is Sunday night due to the results show being on , it's quite seriously messing with my poor little tired head, I'll probably try to go into work at 7pm tomorrow.

A lot of them are pre recorded before the series actually starts - tickets are available separately for pro dance recordings, I think.

I like Fleur and I don't really care if it's unpopular opinion - I think she's expressive when she dances, interesting to watch and has the best male partner. (Apart from Jowita's male partner Hamza, of course!)
I'm with you. She doesn't just dance the routine but also characterises and expresses, so you become more immersed in the dance. She's also improved immensely with reigning in her energy since her earlier dances. Except her Couples' Choice (which I really didn't like), I've enjoyed watching her sets.
