Even smokers will tell you, smoking is gross.

I'm not surprised they do it though - dancers do it as an appetite suppressant to get through long hour days.

Not sure if you've seen photos of Nadiya smoking or not, but just in case you think it's her in that photo, it's not, that's Abbey Clancy.

Anyway, yes, I see why they do it, but it's unfortunate. I feel sorry for any non-smoker celeb having to spend all that time so close to them. I took ballroom dancing lessons for a few years as a teenager (sadly I sucked, lol) and a couple of the more serious students who did it competitively were smokers and dancing with them was quite unpleasant. Come to think of it, they were both stick thin as well. I suppose it's not a coincidence that literally the only two people under 40 I've ever met who smoked were competing ballroom dancers.

Oh. Lol, my bad. Yes, I did think that was Nadiya 🤣

I'm mid 30s and a lot of my generation (including me) were smokers until the smoking ban came in around 2010(?) and most of us then gradually stopped. I know barely any smokers now.
 
That pic of Gio reminded me of the pap photos of him and Ashley having a drunk row outside a Miami club which 'confirmed' their relationship. Though when I checked for the pics, he wasn't smoking, but Aljaz was loitering in the background of one of them puffing away!

I'm vaguely hoping that means Ellie hasn't been lumbered with one... though come to think of it Salsa or Jive could be the finish of her too... I know she should go soon, but I hope Craig isn't as nasty to her as he was with her Rumba.

Also hoping Helen will improve from her Salsa, but I imagine she's safe even if it's a disaster.

Ellie's got to have samba, salsa or jive really - can't see it going well for her. Re Craig's nasty marking, that has always worked in her favour but not sure it will at this stage in the competition.

I don't think Helen will enjoy the samba much or be very good at it, but she will be safe.

Yeah. I'd like to see her get to Musicals Week, as I think she'd probably have a really nice number that suits her, but it's hard to see her surviving any of the three Latins she's got left. I'd be totally fine with Will pissing off next week instead, but it's sadly unlikely.
 
I’m out this Saturday so won’t be watching it live. Also not sure yet if I’ll be able to vote. I’m hoping the venue might email with time updates (I’m going to a gig). If I’m able to check here to get an idea of who needs votes. I’m really hoping the show doesn’t need to get moved to Friday 2nd as had been suggested on a previous thread cos I’m at a gig that night, and the 10th December. Bloody social life getting in the way of voting

It's already been moved - the week 11 show is on Friday 2nd December! (with results Saturday 5:40pm) :cry:
