I am really behind on the thread but just wanted to make a few comments (that may have been made already) about last night.

Firstly the blatant favouritism is quite uncomfortable. I love Hamza as much as the next person and his couple’s choice was perfect but how come he gets to do that while Molly was absolutely stitched up with that Grange Hill dance. I’d have loved to have seen what she could do with a proper couple’s choice like Hamza got.

I am also absolutely sick of Craig refusing to give 10’s for no reason. He always comments on a dance with zero critique, or saying it’s perfect, then gives a 9. He did it multiple times to John and Jojo last year and the same again with Fleur last night. If it’s not a 10 Craig tell her what it needs to be one!

I saw that yesterday and assumed it was her face, felt a bit bilious. :sick:

All I could think was how he could cover it up with the other half of the animal's face when they eventually split up. 😁

He is an absolute tool. In the past he may have had a mole at the show, by now though he claims that he is the ultimate spoiler revealer, when all he does is scour the internet for the result and claim it as his own. :rolleyes:

He'll be crying that the Blackpool dance floor was too bouncy and hurt his purple feet and bad knees. That he hopes he's made his children (not little primary school age but he connotes they are a young family) proud and dedicates the Blackpool dance to them because their heritage is Blackpool, great-great- great-great nanna Marge once had went for a swim there using the victorian bathing machines.

Am I missing something about Hamza’s couple’s choice?? It was completely out of sync. I love him as much as the next person and it could’ve been amazing but if it was anyone else out of sync like that there would be uproar and definitely no 10s

I'm confused id forgotten she got to the final with Joe Suggs( 😳 I know!)
So why do they celebrate the her week 5 as if week 4 is a curse for her?
 
Interesting to see the likes on the Strictly insta posts of the dances:

Hamza: 43k
Fleur: 22k
Molly: 12k
Will: 10k
Helen: 9.3k
Kym: 7.8k
Tony: 7.5k
Tyler: 7.3k
Ellie: 6.3k

It doesn't tell us much apart from reactions to each dance (ie probably not mapped onto voting) but just striking how far ahead of everyone Hamza is!

I wouldn't mind but I think that lion tattoo is covering up the tattoo of his ex's name on his wrist.

A lot of the costumes last night were looking extremely homemade. The no only thing I rate about Amy is the fact that she wears a lot of her old competition dresses rather than whatever monstrosity Vicky Giggles would conjure up.

I think he's at that stage now when his stats are going to be quite far out in front of everyone else whatever happens, and then the others get a boost if they have a good week

Just saw on Gorka's stories that the pros are in rehearsals today - poor buggers must be knackered
 
Just catching up on last night.

I can’t be doing with the constant sob stories from Will and the awful acting of ‘I’m so sad’. I cringed through the whole thing.

Ellie - thought she could have given a bit more?

Loved Fleur’s samba. Thought that was really her dance!

Tyler did nothing for me. It had so much potential but his body looked so weird, really square and awkward. Awful posture. - totally agree with Craig’s comments.

Loved Molly’s rumba - beautiful dance!

I really liked Tony’s jive !! Thought he did such a good job.

Helen - could have so much potential but again fell a bit flat?

Kym - really think she has progressed so much and seems to be enjoying it so much more than she did!

Loved Hamza’s dance, the lifts were incredible, and jowita is an excellent pro - makes it about her celeb, not herself. However the timing was out.

Loved their dance, it was the dance of the night for me, 🔥🔥🔥 hot hot hot!
But yes, I agree, Vito's outfit looked like an outfit for a Christmas elf, I thought it really was strange looking.

I do wonder at some of the costumes betimes.

fully agree on everything, especially will. i don’t know if i am just deeply cynical at this point and i know the emotion was real but it also seemed deeply rehearsed with all his looks up after the dance, the way he had to throw in the mention of his kids etc…. kym was upset too but it didn’t come across as anywhere near as calculated as he did.

i watched hamza again this morning and they’re hugely out of sync at points. i did think that jowita (as fabulous as she is) went a little fast whereas he was staying on the groove of it, but understandable if it’s a new dance for her!

helen’s comments after the dance (“you want me to walk over there, on my own?”) completely summed up her mood during the dance for me 🤣 she looked scared, though the lifts were great.
 
I think Helen has so much other stuff going on she’s not in the moment. She’s going through the motions and doing a good job but she’s not letting herself go. I think next year would have been a better option for her. Must be so tough as she’s probably mid divorce proceedings and getting her head around the fact her kids will have a step sibling. I feel for her and she isn’t pushing the sob story either.

Personally I thought he danced it perfectly and with the natural cool rhythm that it should be danced. It was jowita who was too fast.
I've always believed for any couple (over the years) when the pro outdances or makes the mistake it shouldn't be marked down for the celebs.
I get that the judges generally have to mark the partnership of the dance but...

I've also seen too many couples dances without mistakes, but the dance is just average. However they're overmarked by the judges because it's a CC or there's an personal emotion behind A dance (Tyler, Jayde..) and that is unfair too

nikita looked 🔥👌🏻 last night! the suit, his hair, the little earring - perfection. the camera person obviously approved too given how much we saw of him!

I don't know, I think she's doing a grand job in the circumstances - Helen's technically very good and seems to manage some very advanced stuff but just looks way more comfortable doing the 'jolly' type dances than the sexy ones. Last week showed she can get rid of the nerves and *perform*

No doubt the background stuff going on is tough though but I'm kind of in awe at how she isn't letting it affect her for the most part
