Yes! and she's mentioned her husband on ITT several times but it seemed odd. Or maybe they're setting Vito up for a showmance (*Molly wearily gets on her glad rags to get papped with him*)
Just waiting for the Express to cut Ellie and Fleur out of this pic and use the verb ‘cosying up’!

I'm not sure what Tyler's problem is, but I don't think it's that Dianne doesn't know how to crack the whip, or use posture-correcting tools. Here's her whipping a borderline duffer into not-too-bad shape on DWTS AU

I think the height difference does mean that his posture can't improve much more in the ballroom. I'm not sure why so many celebs struggle so much with this. You see it every time with tall blokes, the judges keep saying 'stop trying to dance down to her, she can dance up to you' and most of them just can't seem to manage it for some reason. It's obviously never an issue when pros with large height differences dance together, but I guess it must just be something that takes a long time to get right.

Similarly, I've noticed that a taller female pro dancing with a shorter male pro looks fine, but it always looks awkward when it's a celeb. I really noticed it last year on the American one with Amanda and Alan. She was about the same height as him in low heels and there was just always something slightly awkward-looking about them, even though she was a good dancer. But Luba and Nadiya can dance with Gorka without it looking weird. Maybe it's just something that can't be sorted out in a few weeks. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah, I don't think it's all down to Dianne either, she did a foxtrot with Dev who is at least as tall as Tyler and he didn't seem to have the problem Tyler is having. I think Tyler might just be too aware of the height difference between them and feels like he has to make himself shorter for Dianne, similar to James with Amy. Also, he was a good dancer when he came onto the show but it seems like he's more comfortable with street style dancing and he just can't get out of that.

If anyone saw Will and Nancy on ITT, it showed the secret microphone clip, Nancy is saying ELBOW ELBOW ELBOW 😁and she says in the interview that she didn't want the judges picking up on it because they already had mentioned frame.

I think as you said, Tyler started really well, and as I said earlier, I'm not sure he really is taking on board what is being said by the judges because it seems to be similar stuff that is pointed out to him every week. And I know that might be true of all of them but the others try to correct whatever it is whereas he seems to come back and it's as if it's the first time it's been said and it's a surprise to him all over again. Shirley needs to produce something from her bag of tricks for him 😁

There's a height difference for Tony and Katya too. I kept thinking of that when it was mentioned about James and Amy. And there were a couple of tall guys among the celebs last year, I don't remember it being such an issue with any of them.

Did anyone see this yesterday? They’re certainly painting the picture that Oti wasn’t being nice about Katya

Oh god what a non story! She’s saying Katya will tell you if you’re wrong or done something incorrectly - is that a jibe? 🙄

Off topic but does anyone know where Fleur’s wee sweater is from??

(Yes I need to get a life and do some work instead of searching up sweaters I don't even want for anon forum poster, but i like a challenge) 😂🤣

Thank you fellow anon forum poster 🥰. Unfortunately, I do not have a spare 270 to spend on a jumper 🥲

I think he’s suffered from not having any straight ballroom at until half way in. First dance - American Smooth and then a Dr Who tango. That was his first full dance in actual ballroom hold. In week 7.
I do think this year has highlighted what a hindrance it is to the celebs (not just Tyler) when the dances are just plucked randomly from a hat with no thought to how they flow.

I also he had real crowdpleaser dances early on that were definitely not perfect and if he did them at this stage in the competition at that level, he wouldn't get the same high scores. That doesn't just go for him as most of the early high scores were more of a hindrance than a help.

Definitely. Argentine Tango in Week 3 is just silly, really.

I always think its interesting to see how people settle into learning (or not) around this stage of the competition. Molly impressed on It Takes Two regarding this, she spoke quite thoughtfully on how learning steps for one type of dance helped in the next for her, she could see the evolution from one to the other.

Whereas Hamza had been drilled hard in serious Latin fundamentals and then felt he had to throw it all away for the Cha cha cha, and considered it a very annoying, contradictory dance, though he still did well through sheer perseverance and focus.

And then you have poor Tony, who tries and then all Katyas teaching flies out his head the instant his name is announced, and I don't really know how you could remedy that...
