I think his posture is their biggest worry now. Out of the dances he has left he can kind of only get away with his posture not being great in Samba and Salsa. His dance order has kind of screwed him over. It feels like now that his story for the series is over (marathon, brother's wedding etc) the producers don't really care about keeping him in.

I think they were determined to get Dianne past week four and that was kind of it as far as they were concerned.

Like I said, Dianne should have had the boy strapped into Oti Mabuses' Posture Corrector (Patent Pending) back in week 2, and she'd have got at least a couple 10s for that waltz.

Oti Mabuses' Posture Corrector (Patent Pending) works magic! It made Bill Bailey into Strictly champion! It could do it for you too, Tyler! Only 3 installments of £19.99 a month, plus £4.99 postage and packaging!

But how is the Oti Mabuses' Posture Corrector (Patent Pending) going to work when there is a Significant Height Difference*? Did Ms Mabuse also make a stretching rack for poor miniscule average height 5ft3 Dianne?

*still not over the audacity, soz 😅

I wonder if Dianne is strict enough with teaching Tyler - her trying to be 'strict' in the VT didn't seem very convincing. I feel like her style can work well for others but Tyler needs someone to crack the whip IMO.
I get the feeling as well that he isn't taking what the judges are saying on board. I could be completely wrong on that.
But he has had Shirley drooling over him from the start. That's not good, 😁

Yeah do we presume Kai and Gio will both have partners? That would be good!

I come bearing the news that Vito has a hot brother, with whom he made a somewhat romantic video (horse-riding on the beach!). What a family!

lol, I'm surprised to find out he's his younger brother! They look so alike I had been assuming they were twins!

Fleur - please control that samba, glad Vito mentioned managing the energy, don't want to see a Tanzanian devil on Saturday.

Not sure if Fleur has Tanzanian ancestry or if this is just an amusing typo... 😂

I'm not sure what Tyler's problem is, but I don't think it's that Dianne doesn't know how to crack the whip, or use posture-correcting tools. Here's her whipping a borderline duffer into not-too-bad shape on DWTS AU

I think the height difference does mean that his posture can't improve much more in the ballroom. I'm not sure why so many celebs struggle so much with this. You see it every time with tall blokes, the judges keep saying 'stop trying to dance down to her, she can dance up to you' and most of them just can't seem to manage it for some reason. It's obviously never an issue when pros with large height differences dance together, but I guess it must just be something that takes a long time to get right.

Similarly, I've noticed that a taller female pro dancing with a shorter male pro looks fine, but it always looks awkward when it's a celeb. I really noticed it last year on the American one with Amanda and Alan. She was about the same height as him in low heels and there was just always something slightly awkward-looking about them, even though she was a good dancer. But Luba and Nadiya can dance with Gorka without it looking weird. Maybe it's just something that can't be sorted out in a few weeks. 🤷‍♀️

Did anyone see this yesterday? They’re certainly painting the picture that Oti wasn’t being nice about Katya

Sounds like she meant it in a complimentary way to me. And, well, if she didn't, it'd be hypocritical af seeing as she's also known for being a hard taskmaster.

Anyway. the whole thing seems like blown out of proportion nonsense to me. My interpretation was that she was probably just giving him a 'get prepared in case we're in the dance off' pep talk.

Poor Katya, no matter what she does, the rags find something to attack her over. I'm still mad about that time they accused her of being drunk when she pretended to trip again after Mike's Cha Cha, even though it was incredibly obvious to anyone with a single brain cell that it was on purpose as a joke.

That was my thought too - she knows Katya personally and knows how hardworking she is and what her celeb doing well means to her…but the tone of the story was she was having a go, and changing the subject quickly after she’d said what she wanted.

It must be so frustrating, shitrags twisting things and trying to stir up bad feeling

I think it's often a confidence thing with a female celeb being a bit too tall for a male pro. If you're a novice dancer, having a taller pro steer you are around the dance floor might make you feel that bit more comfortable because you assume that's how it's supposed to be - I remember in her little introductory video when she was asked what she wanted from a pro, Katie McGlynn said 'someone tall'. And then she got Gorka and never really looked at ease

When Gorka and Nadiya danced together on the pro tour (when they did Into the Unknown with Nadiya as Elsa), not only was the height difference not an issue, but it actually added to the dance and was fabulous imo - would actually like to see them dance together more in the pro numbers as it's an interesting dynamic

I didn't actually read it but the express, imo, seems to just take any sort of nonsense and make a story out of nothing.

It came up on the news section of my Facebook - I don’t normally read them either but I was interested to see what shite they were coming away with this time 😂

They had another article about Adam Peaty being annoyed at Katya because she rated Tony Adams’ book above his

Yes, I loved that dance, and this one Gorka and Luba did was also good.
