I remember Gorka’s ‘Strictly CV’ on ITT. He spoke so well about all his different partners and still gave time to Katie Piper and Katie McGlynn even though they didn’t get far. Also I cried when he cried talking about Gemma and Mia.

Gorka just seems like a nice guy in general. I get the impression Helen is the first celeb he’s actually clicked with and will remain as friends with after the show. I think it’s pretty well documented that him and Alexandra clashed, Maisie was just a bit too young for him, Katie bless her he might as well have danced with a plank of wood and it seemed Katie didn’t really give the show the time it needed, she just continued her heavy Hollyoaks schedule.

I don’t really have a favourite yet but if I had to pick who I wanted to win right now I think I’d pick Helen and Gorka, I think he deserves it and she’s worked hard to get better.

I guess we see it differently! I’m not a fan of Will, but I empathised when he talked about his dad, having lost my own. For me it is nice to see all sides of someone, unless it's a Jayde with a different one each week: having said that, her talking about her sister was nice, as was Greg's to his. I saw Fleur's yesterday as a tribute to her dad

3 was just deeply unkind at this point. It wasn't great but no way a humiliating 3.
5 would've got his point across adequately.
I don't know - humiliating somebody in public when they are obviously trying is not what I want to watch. Ellie T hiding her wee face trying not to be seen crying was quite upsetting.

BIB - Absolutely agree, and that's not what anyone wants to see.

I keep imagining (in general, not specific to Ellie T - I have yet to catch up) how someone would feel, having given something their best shot, and having worked hard at it during the week, probably coming off the floor thinking hey that went okay / great / whatever only to be really disappointed and hurt by either scores or comments.

I agree with you that it nice to hear someones story. I like to click with the celebs I'm watching.

I think it becomes a turn off for me when its being used for sympathy, like with Jayde every week. When somebody is very clearly in danger and wheels out a story I find it hard to take genuinely.

But like I said earlier, I blame the producers and VT production for most of this. They often goad people into revealing these stories or play on something that is clearly painful for the celebs. And then only take what they want from the piece to actually show.

Shame that Ellie S went,I thought she had potential and would make it to Blackpool at least- I think Tony and Ellie T should have gone before her. I don't get the hype around Ellie T at all, she seems nice and Craig was too harsh on her last night but I struggle to remember most of her routines. it pains me that we're going to get a Molly v Fleur dance off at some point, both of them deserve to make it to the final imo along with Hamza and maybe Helen

Completely agree. Gorka just seems like a nice, genuine bloke who's always been respectful of his partners. And also helps that he is gorgeous and a cracking choreographer

I think maybe some people don't warm to him because he doesn't go all out with the extreme fawning, showmancing, moving in with partners and looking after their kids etc - but that actually makes me like him even more. Because it's actually quite normal, sensible behaviour to not mix your work and personal life that much 😆. Aljaz in a lovely bloke but I always found his 'Strictly babysitter' thing a bit odd. And then there was Amy and the Fletchers last year 😳

Like others have said I definitely think the main reason Ellie T was safe was because of the undermarking. If she got all 6’s she would have been stuck in the middle of the leaderboard and probably more at risk of being in the dance off.

She is the professional dancer and irrespective of her disappointment, she should not have shown her annoyance/frustration at Tony, because, let's face it, that is what she has done on tv. No getting away from it.

I'm no fan of Tony and don't get the love, but Katya was out of line imo.
I don't think she did show her frustration at Tony ? You could see the sadness in her body language and the disappointment- none of it was directed at Tony, in fact she said repeatedly how well he had been doing in training and how he had done it all correctly in the dress run.

Just read the spoiler, ooh I'm furious Molly landed in the dance off after such a good dance, at least in the top 3 of the night. Slightly underscored too, at least in comparison to Hamza's slight overscoring. So happy for Fleur and Vito though.

Not particularly pleased to lose Ellie S, mostly because of Nikita tbf, but at least the dreaded scenario of a Fleur vs Molly bottom two hasn't happened (yet). It's a shame Ellie went out on a pretty good dance, but I think she was hitting a little bit of a plateau, so maybe it's best she went before her lack of improvement really started showing.

Genuinely quite surprised Tyler did better in the audience vote than Ellie S, I really thought he was dance off bound as soon as he got a lower score.

I hope Ellie Taylor has a dance that suits her next week and not something that wastes her having been saved this week, like what happened with James. Looking back it really annoys me that he got that ridiculous haunted beekeeper Charleston the week after narrowly avoiding the dance-off. He may as well have just bloody gone then rather than everyone's time being wasted with a dance he had no chance with the following week.

I think she did direct her disppointment at him, who else would she direct it at. ? He is after all her dance partner. BUT she is the professional and it is not her business to show her celeb partner up for his shortcomings.

I don't get the Tony 'love' or Mr. entertainment but I didn't like Kayta's reaction and she should know and act better. He would, I imagine have felt pretty bad at the way the dance went.

She didn't direct anything at him, it was how she looked ..the sadness was on her face and in her body language. She didn't say anything negative to Tony. I think you are misunderstanding what is being said tbh.

completely agree - Katya's frustration was her anticipation of and her reaction to the comments of the judges who are continuing to ignore the merits of the dance for its own sake in favour of general disparaging comments of Tony. At the outset the playing field is far from level - otherwise the line-up would consist of 15 or so 20/30 year olds with high levels of fitness and dance aptitude - how boring would that be? To castigate the mainly older, less fit/less well co-ordinated for dancing with precision is quite appalling - it invites ridicule. To a certain extent, this is happening here.

I misunderstood nothing. If I do, I'm the first to admit it. She was raging and frustrated that he performed it better in rehersal, I get that. However, what I don't get or appreciate was her public display of annoyance at Tony.

I'm not thrilled with the result because at least Ellie & Nikita were exciting to watch and did something different. I never say this but I'd have rather had a shock exit last night - getting a bit bored with Tyler, Will & Molly - no significant improvement from any of them since the first couple of weeks to be honest. And they are all quite uninteresting to me (except for when Will gets mardy).

I agree with you. I have a lot of respect for Katya but she was clear frustrated about the fact that he did better in the run throughs and lost the head at him.

But i quite liked seeing it tbh
