for me - there was something not quite right about Ellie T's dance - it did seem awkward, lacked flow and did not live up to the VT expectation. Perhaps Craig expected much more and was acutely disappointed.

it was absolutely awkward in places but in no way deserving of a 3 imo. a 5 or even a 6 at a push would have been fair.

must be in his contract - compensation for being one of the longest serving pros now and possibly the most benched? (or the PTB are trying to justify his fee!)

think that was mostly why Katya was upset, they are not being taken seriously - yes he fouled up a few times, but he also had some great moves and the acrobatics were amazing! Whatever she does she cannot shake off the 'joke act' vibes and that must sting.

If Ellie S goes (which would be fair enough, I've completely forgotten her routine), I hope Nikita can match Neil's visibility. I want to see him behind Tess, lying across the judges' table, gate-crashing routines, everywhere!

the producers do seem to be doing her dirty ever since 'the incident' - the punishment has gone on for far too long

Yes please! It's such a waste of her talent to keep giving her duffers. I would have settled with giving Tyler to Katya.

she’s been calling her Dianne perfectly well was 6 years.

I'm not really on the anti-Tess train, but a better host would call it out in a fun way that doesn't enhance the awkwardness but proves the point and ensures it doesn't happen again.

I think she seemed more done with the judges refusing to critique Tony properly. Every other celeb gets told positive things about their dance and also things to work on, Tony rarely gets that and I don’t blame Katya for being annoyed.

Craig’s critique of Ellie T was spot on.

I thought the critique was fair but the score was harsh and undermined his comments. Too pantomime, which only works if you're going to do it to everyone. (Still mad about Will's mess of a dance getting an 8 from him).

Hopefully they would forgive him any mistakes and let him have another go like they did Fleur. Then next week he can come on and say even though his dear dad has been dead for a number of years he still loves Strictly and he’s doing it for him.

I thought he was marginally better than Ellie (really only because he seemed to have more content), but that she was overmarked too. Didn't agree with many of the scores tonight personally!

It must be really frustrating to work really hard with your pro , trying to teach them the steps, rules of the dance , performance etc, even though they aren’t a natural dancer , then constantly tell everyone whose listening that your partner is working really hard to learn because they don’t want to be the novelty act , then come performance night, watch them screw up then dismiss it as oh I got so caught up in the fun of it all I forgot to actually dance .
Tony can’t have it both ways - either he’s the novelty act there for laughs and entertainment ( his own and the audiences ) , or he wants to show he can dance ; albeit to the best of his ability)

I have nothing against Tony but I think it will be a shame if he’s kept in purely because he’s Tony over someone who either danced better or has improved across their journey.
