I’m still seeing a lot of complaining about the results show not being live. I would love to know why people care so much, like does it really bother you THAT much to the point where you feel the need to constantly post and talk about it??

Do people think the BBC pull the pros from all corners of the globe and take the celebs away from their families on Christmas Day to film the Christmas special? Anyone with half a brain cell knows the results shows and the various specials are not live and simply do not care.

I always wonder how these people would cope with the realisation that Tom Jones, Ed Sheeran, Michael Buble, etc., have not in fact given up their New Year’s Eve in order to sing a few songs in a BBC studio for Jools Holland’s Hootenanny 😆

Are people on here seeing things in Cameron that I’m not? I understand he’s young and all that but there hasn’t been one dance he’s done where he hasn’t been out of sync with everyone else?? It was extremely noticeable just on the results show on Sunday. I wouldn’t be giving him a partner any time soon
He's just not good, and I wouldn't miss him.

Re results show I don't need them to be live just over and done with on the same night, which isn't logistically possible. I don't enjoy the actual results show, but of course I watch it to see the results and watch the pro dances.

I think Cameron was probably a suggestion from Johannes, Oti and Motsi being South African but its obviously not worked out thus far.
I think this is exactly what happened. I remember them hyping him up when he was announced and one of them saying they couldn't wait for the world to see what he could do!

I also don't think they did proper auditions that year. They would have been in lockdowns until just before the new pros were announced and I remember when Cameron came to the UK his videos about it being his first time. So maybe they did rely on word of mouth?

Surely people’s own common sense tells them that all the celebs and pros and front of house staff and technicians and make up and wardrobe aren’t going to come back for hours on Sunday just to film a half hour show that would cost as much to put on as the 2 hour Saturday show.

Would imagine the Daily Mail would love the chance to run umpteen articles about How The BBC Are Wasting The Licence Fee.

Apparently, the sun is running a story about Fleur and Vito’s dance off having to be done twice because she fell the first time. They’re trying to label it a fix obviously, but it says it was a really bad fall and both of them had to be checked over by medics so surely it was only right they got to redo it? Hopefully this won’t affect how people vote on Saturday but I think some will fall for the fix narrative.

Also intrigued to know who feeds info to that rag.
If it's the case then why didn't they just show the first effort? I remember 700 years ago when Mark Ramprakash and Karen Harden got stuck in his mic when doing their Salsa and they were allowed start again. Like if it's a situation where they were potentially injured surely it would 1. Make good TV and 2. Be fair that they were given a second chance.

Watching Loose Women now: missed the start of Fleur and Vito - apparently Vito said he fell off his chair and needed to be checked out. Hopefully that has defused the furore.
Kaye and Judi obviously being lovely to Fleur: Judi lustily demanded a hug from Vito (who Kaye claimed is the best hugger ever), 'came over all funny', and then shouted 'sorry Graz!' :D

It wasn’t like someone was being injured live on TV … and they don’t normally show away from slow-mo’s of people falling over or hurting themselves jumping off tables soundtracked to mournful, dramatic music.

I think the only thing they got wrong was not acknowledging that it had actually happened in the results show. as much as anything, it gave context to the fact Fleur was wobbly in her actual dance (and kudos to her for actually giving it another go. That must have been hard to do) and that the judges were talking like their cat had died.

Fleur looks so thin here!

Here's a clip of Vito explaining what happened - he fell off the chair and they both carried on with the dance but production stepped in to check on Vito. Even more of a non story than before! Just Strictly actually taking health and safety seriously for a change

Oh well, The Scum can make the story of BBC employee attempts to force celeb to carry on in spite of injury risk.

Big reaching going on from the media.

What nobheads actually leak these total non-stories to these shitrag papers?
Well it’s long been rumoured that Shirley and Dan Wootton are friends - I know he doesn’t work at The Sun and has apparently been banned from Strictly anyway but maybe she quite likes a gossip? She’s not shy at bitchin so I’m not ruling it out.

Wallasey isn’t a million miles away from Liverpool so I’ve always found her friendship with that creep Wootton even worse given he was at The Scum

I still like Gio 😬 I know he is a cocky gobshite and this series did not show him in a good light at all, but he can be a terrific choreographer showcasing his partner brilliantly. I don't think he is into Kevin Clifton levels of delusion yet hopefully (how Stacey Dooley is with him is baffling. He is such a massive ick to me).

And she supports Liverpool. She was hanging round with him all the time when Alexandra was being brutalised by the press.
