Amy reminds me of a few overly sweet younger women whom I've worked with and have seen the mask slip. Not keen on either her or Tom so was perfectly fine with them being paired up and they seemed happy as well. She was pretty scary with Brian Conley & Karim in training.

Gorka & Nina was a pairing I really wish happened. I agree with whoever said that his partners have been samey. I think he needs a challenge but one that can commit to training, improve and stick around. It's always either the filler celebs or ringers.
 
Katie was a waste of a celebrity in my opinion. Her filming schedule wouldn’t allow for her to properly rehearse and her heart just generally wasn’t in it. I doubt she’d have gone any further with Neil or anyone else really.

It was a shame Rob had to drop out. Obviously it was for a health reasons but his tango showed real promise he could’ve had another few weeks worth in him. I know people weren’t sure on the partnership but I think Dianne was a bit starstruck by him unlike Dev and Max she actually knew who he was.

I still think Amy would’ve benefited from a couple of years as part of a dance company. She doesn’t seem to understand that at the end of the day strictly is a bit of fun and a light entertainment show rather than a real competition. Obviously all the pros would like to win at some point but with her it seems to go beyond how the rest of the pros feel about winning (if I’m making any sense😂😂)

When Katie was announced, she just struck me as bit of a filler contestant, especially in the 2021 line up when nearly everyone else had their own unique selling point.

She came across as nice and amiable, but seemed to treat the experience like she was taking part in a weekend beginners dance class and not the biggest entertainment show on TV
 
I didn't like Katie much when she did the charity comedy show and was surprised that SCD cast her after that because she didn't show any personality or humour. And there was the issue of training. It was just really unfair to Gorka and totally pointless for all parties. Was there nobody else who could have taken the last female celeb spot? Last year didn't have a female athlete or singer, would have been cool to have someone from either of those professions in her place.

That Neil/Nancy clip is pretty suggestive, even for touchy-feely dancers, though I haven't seen anything else to suggest they are at it. Whereas the Rose/Gio hug is very friendly, and at least gives the lie to the idea that he's annoyed with her or whatever.
 
I wonder if Katie was a bit of a last minute panic signing after someone else dropped out very very last minute. She should’ve known how much of a commitment it was. It shouldn’t come as a shock you need to giving it your all and if you can’t then should you actually be saying yes ? Wasn’t she only doing 3 hours a day at one point ? Compared to others who confirmed over the years they were doing 8/9/10 even in some cases 12/13 hour days.

If Nancy and Neil weren't dancers, I'd think they were a couple.

Dancers just love being physically intimate with friends, don't they? Same goes for actors. That's probably why there are lots of "shippers" among their fans who think there's something going on when there isn't.

i swear Nancy has a long term partner/possible fiancé.. he’s very public with her on social media. Not sure I’d be happy if I were him seeing creepy Neil with his hand on her arse. She needs her eyes checking if she’s strayed to him

Yes, she has a boyfriend.
I personally wouldn't find it okay either, if my partner would be that close with someone else. But I guess/hope he doesn't mind that she's very touchy-feely with her male friends.

It does seem a little overly cosy, but who knows.

In Dan's insta live before the finale, when they were talking about how they were in a bubble and could all touch each other again, Aljaz and Nadiya stroked each other's hands in a way that would have made me slightly raise an eyebrow, if it weren't for them being dancers and dancers being Like That.

lol, tell that to Rio shippers. There are definitely still at least a few on twitter who haven't given up hope. :LOL:

I think 10-13hrs per day training is absolutely crazy. When did all these extreme training hours start? I'm surprised they don't get more drop-outs through injury or exhaustion.

Was it Rhys who said that Nancy was making him train for 12 hours without a break? Not healthy or anything that Strictly should be applauding or encouraging (which they seem to do)

I think Chris Ramsey said that Karen would send him home for a nap if he was too tired and wasn't taking anything in, and then he'd come back after a few hours and be much better. Another reason to love Karen

No, not healthy at all. But anything less seems to get frowned on as not putting the effort in.
