I do like Rose, and did love some of her dances, but I have to agree. I think Giovanni did a very good job of making her look good in hold, but she's a lot less impressive looking out of it. The first time I watched a clip of her dancing with Nadiya in the Love Story dance I was struck by how much less graceful she looked. Her arm lines were pretty bad (and that was noticeable on the show too.) I wouldn't go so far as to say she only looked good when Gio was dragging her around the floor, because I thought she did quite surprisingly well in some of her Latin dances as well, but she definitely looks a lot better in hold. I wish they'd done their Foxtrot or Viennese Waltz instead of the Argentine Tango on the tour.

And I still don't know what the duck the judges were looking at with that Argentine Tango. Not a 10 to me. The ganchos looked weird. 🤷‍♀️

The couples choice was underwhelming in person for me, the AT was better but not spectacular. Everything she does is just mediocre but she seems sweet

I remember seeing an interview where she sorta explained why she turned him down at first, something like thinking he was so good-looking he had to be trouble. So, lol sounds like she agrees with you - thought he was too hot to be interested in her and must have something wrong with him!
Guess he just has (slightly) weird taste? 😂

Kai & Nadiya look unreal together, I have to admit. Both stunning dancers and both seem look good people from what I have seen from them on the show and on social media. I had hoped these new pictures would have send the DS thread under but it seems to have made them come up with even more theories 😴😭 Good luck to them, I really hope it works out as it would be nice to see a couple dance together on strictly again!

I wasn't gonna look, but curiosity got the best of me. God, they really are still carrying on that there's no chemistry, their body language looks awkward etc. A couple of the photos do look a bit awkward, most likely because someone was trying to take them without them noticing.

AJ is clearly heartbroken by Kaidiya, because I, a random person who has never met her, can tell that her eyes are sad despite her smile in recent pics. They've lost their sparkle! 😱 🤦‍♀️ :rolleyes:

Some of the crazier ones seem to have settled on a narrative where Nadiya is a publicity-hungry witch who has sunk her claws into Kai and is dragging him to all these fake, set-up papshots. And he can't escape because... blackmail? Sorcery? Just so British he can't bring himself to politely refuse?

They're also really hung up on him liking Tilly's sister's bikini photos. Do they even know each other? I can't find any photos of them together. Nikita's liked her bikini photos too, are they a throuple? 😂

I'd like to thank the KJ shippers for alerting me that liking someone's posts on instagram means you're romantically involved - I'm thrilled to announce I'm in a twentysomething-way relationship with most of the pros. Just gotta sort out that one pesky little detail of never having met any of them and then I can start work on the wedding plans! 😂 😂 😂
 
Ngl I’d always assumed Kai and Giulia had separated because he wasn’t ready to settle down, so it’s a bit strange to see him now on the verge of possibly becoming a step dad lol. I really hope he’s serious about Nadiya as she comes across as a nice woman.

Also, weird to think him and Nadiya will either end up happily married or likely have a very public break up if the DM coverage is anything to go by. Anyway, they’re both adults so I’m sure they know what they’re getting themselves into.

It might just be a fling that neither of them mean to be serious (though I suppose that wouldn't stop the Fail and the Scum from portraying the break-up as dramatic and messy.)

If they get married and live happily ever after, ngl, I would enjoy knowing that Dr Nutcase would likely be mad about it til the day she dies! :ROFLMAO:
 
Quite an interesting article…I didn’t think the celebs got a flat fee - regardless of who they were - and they got it even if they went out first? Maybe that’s changed since 2009. Unless if you pulled out and didn’t get paid at all, I’m not sure why she didn’t withdraw?

That was the first year I watched it and I do remember Anton’s awful choice of wording. She said they remained friends so it’s a shame she didn’t enjoy the experience overall.

A couple of years ago I read the pay starts at £25k and goes up depending on how long you stay in (something like if they reach Halloween week, then Blackpool, then pay goes up in stages?) And then the finalists get £75k and the winner gets £100k. Of course, this was from one of the tabloids so could be complete rubbish (and probably out of date now anyway)

But it makes sense they would get paid more the longer they stayed in, considering the shows runs over several months

That definitely makes better sense - and is more likely to attract contestants too!

I think the Pros get a flat fee per series and it’s probably a lot lower than the lowest paid contestant.
