I didn't say you were alone; maybe just the most consistent poster about her ;)

I don't know what you mean by forced but I do agree it would be nice to see each pro get a turn with either a same sex partnership, or with a disability or with a ringer but as we all know they are harder to get.

Like I said in a previous post he has been in the top half of the voting poll each week and only Will's voted has been tested so far out of the likely finalists so its just a wait and see like some of the others what happens.

I know you didn’t address this at me but I’m vocal of my dislike of Dianne too. I was looking forward to seeing Robert Webb last year and that didn’t change completely when he was partnered with Dianne. We’re allowed to like who we like and I don’t see what others see in her - I don’t think she’s a great choreographer, I think she has let her partners down previously and she is very childlike to me.

I pick up a vibe that you don’t like Oti (or maybe it’s just Kelvin you didn’t like) whereas I loved Oti and Kelvin grew on me a lot too. I’m not losing sleep over you disliking her or him because if we all liked the same folk, it would be an echo chamber.

Availability plays a big part although contestants are probably advised to keep January/feb free so they’re available for tour. But it’s usually the four finalists plus 3/4 others. Usually whoever’s made it to blackpool is a decent indication of a potential cast but it can include an early out fan fave (or desperate ones like Max 😂)
 
Do people really vote/like partnerships based solely on the pro? Apart from LadyLav obv who would vote for Gio if he was paired with a hoover.

I couldn’t image being that invested. For example, I think Katya is incredible and I really love what we see of her personality but even she couldn’t make me like Adam or Nicola.

This week is went Hamza, Fleur, then a gap to everyone else - but that obviously doesn't translate into voting because those two didn't need the votes and Will did. We do know he has a very solid vote out there..

Also, based on SM, Jayde's Flashdance was the most popular that week followed up by the AS which also ranked extremely well in terms of likes. But no one is pegging her to win. There are a few celebs, who if they have a bad week, they could be toast. But others who will just be safe regardless.

No, I'm the same, I always vote for the celebrity and their partnership. I love Karen but couldn't vote for Jayde.

Craig runs the tour, doesn’t he?
Last year it was Rose, John, Sara, Tilly Maisie and Max.
2020 had Alex Scott, Kelvin, Mike, Karim, Emma Barton, Catherine Tyldsley and Saffron.

I think they just Want a mix that’s going to put bums on seats.

I loved Alijaz and would have voted for him if he’d dance with a broken leg 😜

I have no problem with anyone who likes/dislikes any pro or contestant I just pointed out that some people who were saying they didn't like Tyler gave me the vibe they wouldn't like him regardless as he was with Dianne thats all.

I like to call them as I see them and have questioned some of the people who don't like her cannot maybe fathom how she may have been unlucky on a week 4 with Dev getting a middler dance (sort of like Fluer) a contestant in Max who looked like he didn't want to be there and was just too nervous and obviously Robert left due to a heart condition; I found the traditional tango Dianne did with him was very good. I think she is one of the better ballroom choreographers in my opinion. If you dont like her personality so be it.

I don't dislike Oti; I've just pointed out that she has been very lucky in the partners she's got; the most ringer male dancer there has ever been; getting a soap heartthrob after her contestant had to drop out and then getting the most liked celebrity in a year of limited contestants. Thats not too diminish her talent; just stating the obvious in my opinion.

Her presenting skills are not good in my opinion but thats another topic.

Your'e right I didn't like Kelvin due to his pro brexit views and up-skirting tweets (which were deleted shortly after he joined strictly).
 
Ngl, I hold up my hands and say I vote for Gorka regardless because he is my fave (Katie McGlynn tested my patience though). I think he would have to partnered with Liz Truss or someone equally grim for me to refuse to throw him any votes 😆

I do like Helen a lot though so he's making it easier for me this year. And I'm still voting for other folk too at this stage of the competition
 
It seems to be an unpopular opinion on here but I really like Dianne. I watched Freeze the Fear and she came across very well on it

Slightly irrelevant, but I work at a pre school and yesterday the woman in charge of my room decided to read his book 'the dinosaur that pooped halloween' to the children. It was so tit and unimaginative, I hate how any celeb these days can spend 10 minutes writing a children's book and it becomes a bestseller

But I can’t help think Dev would have got further if he had a different choreographer and Max might have enjoyed his experience better if he had a different partner (which is a leap based on the fact I can’t imagine having to spend 8, 9, 10 minutes a day with Dianne, let alone hours!)

We’re all calling them as we see them because it’s all based on our opinion. I’m not sure anyone knew how much of a hit Kelvin would be to be honest but if you think it’s unfair then nothing will change your mind. Which is how I feel about Dianne being given chances on her terrible record (and that goes for Karen and Amy - Gorka got benched so why don’t they? They may appear popular but they’ve never really had one hand on the glitterball imho)

I didn’t follow Kelvin on Social Media before Strictly but that’s not great.

Tbf to Max, he seemed like the weirdest announcement ever for the tour but he did seem to really enjoy it (icky dalliances with Maisie aside) and apparently was a lot better dancing with Katya.

This is the hill I’ll die on - and I’m happy to be corrected if I’m wrong - but I don’t think there’s been a tour where the winning CONTESTANT hasn’t done the tour. I know contestants haven’t always danced with the same pro but I can’t see someone winning and them not doing the tour
