Does anyone know why Jayde has a female partner? I don’t think I’ve ever seen the back story behind it.
Sorry if it’s been discussed loads and I’ve missed it. I don’t know how I would have considering I never leave the thread 🤣
Apparently so she could do lifts (though she hasn't done any yet - maybe the Charleston will be the one!)

I think the main reason was that she wanted to be able to do lifts as she knew none of the male dancers would be able to lift and she didn't want to miss out on that part of Strictly

I'm so relieved Rylan left his going to B&Q garden centre on a Sunday joggers at home.

Joanne's choreography corner intro film still irritates me, 17 seconds (was counted) of her wafting.
I do like her in the corner but it seems forced from her this year.
Tyler and Dianne - they are big smilers but I don't buy it
Was worried of a possible Katya wardrobe malfunction 😳

Please can we have Rylan all week, Janette doesn't add anything to it apart from making every song about her whilst standing with hands in pockets

I really can't be doing with Jo Clif - I get so distracted trying to imagine a tuna sandwich or a tree made of jelly or whatever she's chuntering on about that I miss her feedback.

Some of the song choices are... interesting. Plenty of TV themes work well, e.g. Emma and Aljaz's Foxtrot to the Downton Abbey theme, and DWTS had a lovely Viennese Waltz to the Outlander theme 5 or 6 years ago (standard 'poor song was butchered by the alleged 'singers' warning if you look it up) but being restricted to only BBC shows has led to some weird picks.

That said, kinda disappointed there aren't a few more insane choices. They chickened out by having at least 3 or 4 real songs in there. If it's gonna be bad, I want it to be like, Paula Deen's Gilligan's Island samba level bad.
I would have thought fawlty towers was quite danceable

For sure. I like that description 😁. I thought they were like something he might wear lounging around at home. 😁

I would love Rylan all week. I find I'm more interested on the evenings that he is presenting. I always wish the programme was a bit longer on Mon, Tues and Fri.

Absolutely agree...I record the nights Janette hosts and skip through just to the interview bits. The constant looking to the crew for comments and the constant clapping... soo annoying

Friday used to be an hour didn't it??
I was thinking about that as I was typing and kinda thought the same.

This is the first year I have been on tattle for Strictly 😁. When I discovered the threads I had great fun reading the 'most liked posts'.

Here's the top one. 😁

I was having a think about what it is about Will (and others like him) and I think for me it’s that I like people caring about the show and being big fans, I like them to care about the dancing, and obviously EVERYONE wants to win. What I don’t like is when they get so competitive that winning becomes (clearly) more important than having fun and enjoying the process and loving dancing. I like the surprises that come with Strictly (Tony getting emotional, Hamza being a lovely dancer, etc) but not when anyone takes it too seriously.

That's why in way it was such a shame Richie left too soon plus had the wrong partner. He was there for all the right reasons....

Yes, I also think having a sense of humour about yourself is important, too. Being able to laugh it off or poke fun at yourself when something doesn't go quite right.

I know people who have met Will Mellor and all have said he was really rude, this was years ago.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Hamza has a good week, he’s training hard, comes across as joining it and entertains when he dances.
I’m looking forward to randomness that Saturdays nights show might be.
It is a shame Richie was partnered with Gio as Richie started to grow me and would have liked him to have gone further, because of his pure love of strictly. I blame the Rio shippers for now dislike of Gio. He was one of my fav pro but after reading some of the stuff that Rio shippers wrote about them I have a dislike for both now. Kind of regretting that I have tickets for his show but at least he tends to have excellent dancers.
Vito is quickly becoming a favourite pro - he has the same likability of Alijaz. Hoping he and fleur go far.

I have no opinion on Dave Thorpe particularly as I never seek the spoiler and I find people infuriating on DS who say things like "I won't repeat the spoiler but I am not surprised" - yes I am looking at the muppets on the AJ and Kai thread - but why do posters suck onto him so much?
