Most of them look really good. I think this year is annoying cos the standard is actually quite high but a lot of the celebs are just a bit bland?

I know what you mean, they're all perfectly nice people and generally decent dancers, but none of the frontrunners stand out personality wise. It kind of reminds me of the 2019 series

Does anyone else find Strictly's social media a bit cringe and trying too hard to be funny? It's like their attempts at Street dance, it gives me "how do you do, fellow kids?" vibes 😆

I wonder if Jayde making her body a big part of her journey has attracted more haters, I get why she did it she wants people to feel good about themselves even if society doesn’t. As everyone has said there have been bigger people on the show but it seems the negativity about her body is a lot because she’s made it a focal point.
People would be dragging her through the mud for her size regardless. Never underestimate how awful people on the internet can be.

Just seen the Insta post... Sorry I'm judging them too - it seems to be so selfish and careless to get a designer dog for the Insta followers and lolz 😡
I thought they were better than this, Nadiya in particular seems to be a caring soul - what on earth are they thinking with this? A publicity ploy?
Given how poorly all of the pros perform on quiz shows, I think they're honestly just too stupid to know any better. Probably been duped into thinking that breeder's reputable. Or that the health issues are natural for the breed and no one can help it, when of course it's deliberately bred in by assholes.

There’s a couple that have appeared in the last 40 mins but they’re right at the bottom and they’ll probably be gone soon. Gorkas comments are especially disappointing when gem mentions rescue charities a bit.

I’m not necessarily against people going through breeders for puppies as long as they’ve done their research and found a good one as I know shelters and rescue organisations can be fussy sometimes especially if you’ve got children. But I doubt this pair have done any breed or breeder research.

Gemma's frankly an idiot too. She thinks pitbulls aren't dangerous... 🤦‍♀️

I haven’t read the article in that awful shitrag but come on Kaye, it’s not just the flirting is it? It’s the obvious and nasty difference between the men she likes (who are almost always younger than her) and either the younger female contestants or the males who are partnered with pros she doesn’t like.

A bit of harmless flirting is one thing but this ain’t it Shirl.

That's an awful picture of Kaye

I personally wish she'd show any body can dance by actually improving her dancing!

But I think the main difference with Jayde and the past contestants mentioned is that she's not trying to hide or disguise her weight. She was incredibly brave to go out in her Flashdance costume imo. She's loud and proud and that often attracts hate because it makes people uncomfortable. If we saw more people wearing what makes them feel good instead of hiding their bodies in shame, it wouldn't be such a big deal.

I 100% agree with this! People are fine with fat bodies if they're "appropriately covered"
It's hardwired into a lot of people (not everyone, before anyone takes offence) that a body like Jaydes should be covered up...and seeing it in that flash dance outfit will have people uncomfortable...

As someone who's been told multiple times over the years "your too big for that/you should wear something more flattering" I for one am loving what Jaydes doing!
It goes so much deeper than just "body inclusivity"

I agree - a big lady in a leotard being taken seriously is unheard of in light entertainment and the fact she is so confident is inspiring to me. I wish she would dance better though, there are big dancers, and the plus size ice skater in the ad for example, who can move and have energy and don’t just step around. She is getting a boost in marks becuase of her size and it’s becoming patronising (look at you getting off the ground).

Yes and its unfair. I wonder how she will react when she gets some truthful marks and comments.

Mark Benton. He was wonderful.:)
Mark Benton was great, shame he had issues with his knees though.

I had no strong opinions on Jayde coming into Strictly, and can still summon up nothing to particularly like or dislike about her now.

Apart from the fact that I wish she would wear even a small Cuban heel to her shoe when dancing. Even an inch or half-inch heel (like the guys wear) would just give her better posture and foot-positioning when dancing, would make her look lighter on her feet next to Karen who is in heels, and perhaps allieviate that tendency to look very stampy and flat-footed that she has had in every dance so far.

I'm still hoping she has a breakthrough moment!

Aw, I thought he looked cute. Like a proper old Hollywood movie star.
I thought it just looked weird to be short at the back and still have such a long fringe. lol, I thought it was a bad wig like Gorka's until I saw the insta story showing it was done with pins. 😂

I don't really think short hair really suits him at all, but I suppose I'd get used to it if he cut it.
