But seriously, these people need to bloody let go. They're also now rooting for AJ to go and visit Fleur during training so AJ can fall in love with Vito.

Showdances are usually just a hot mess anyway. In 19 series we’ve probably had a couple that bucked the trend and a handful that were acceptable. The rest were just either forgettable, dire or both.

I imagine Lisa Snowden would rather bore people with what a fabulous concept her showdance was and how meaningful it would be than have us know she spent most of it either running into a Christmas tree, rolling about the floor or having a wobbly armed Brendan almost drop her a couple of times while trussed up in a Bacofoil swim suit.

Somethings are better left undone.
 
Janettes' expression being basically ":love:" as Jowita and Hamza express mutual support and platonic adoration for each other did make me laugh. And I'm so glad they got the inflatable T-Rex costumes out of the way on It Takes Two, though neither of the pair seemed particularly thrilled by the Jurassic Park theming (and who can blame them, poor wee sausages!)

Jojo and Ellie are very charming together, and I did laugh at Ellie expressing her Extreme Displeasure over the rules of Cha-Cha-Cha being Backwards and Stupid and Unfair.

Tyler looked far too bright and alert and cheery for someone who has done Jive then Marathon then 30 hours of Charleston training, I presume Dianne has basically got him on a glucose/caffeine IV and a cryotherapy chamber in between dances.

Fair play to him for that. He's a nice guy and very easy on the eye!

Can I also say, Janette's really worked on her interview skills and it shows. She's soooo much better this year.
 
I thought Kym looked quite good in the training footage on ITT.

I see on Katya's insta Tony is training in tearaway trousers :oops:

Shirley was just on The One Show with Ben Shepherd - despite having a degree in contemporary dance (!) he claims he can't dance and will never do Strictly but he looked pretty good when they did a bit together at the end.

i would honestly love if one year, as a one-off for children in need or something, they did a special “celebs you didn’t know could dance” show. i was literally just reading that aidan turner used to dance latin competitively and there was/is an actor in casualty who is a trained ballet dancer. give the ringers their chance to shine 🤣
