I would absolutely love to see their showdance , maybe not in the show, even just rehearsal room footage, as I’m intrigued and it would close the chapter. They both seem to still be good friends, and he did put that he ‘knew they’d be dancing again soon’ in the tour withdrawal post, so I don’t see why not? Not sure when they would fit in the training, but as they were so magical together on the dance floor together it would be a shame not to. It would be lovely if they did the Christmas one , but very much doubt they’d do the tour next year.

I think you need to start coming to terms with the cold hard light of day of what has happened: AJ got injured therefore couldn't do the final or the tour. It's now up to her if she would want to do the next strictly tour ( thats if the team asked her back as there could be enough celebs from this years series signing up to do the next tour) or a christmas special. Her career has had a significant boost from doing strictly as she is already signed up to a few presenting gigs already so she may want to concentrate on furthering her presenting career at the moment. Plus any hope of Aj & Kai reuniting to dance for romantic reasons is now out the window.

Welcome! I’ve never read the DS threads but I’ve read here about what they’re like so it’s exciting to see an escapee

got involved in a thread last night in which a poster dared to critique how legitimate Giovanni’s annual lifetime bonds with his partners actually are and had his ‘do no wrong’ fan club go for the throat, so took that as my cue to leave!

I have, I’m just going by the fact that they are still friends and the fact he said he’d like them to dance again, nothing romantic, just would be lovely to see the showdance.
Her insta story just now is basically saying she’s looking forward to going to see the tour and all is fine with everyone.

Good for Nadiya! I semi bought into the theory that she had a bit of a crush on 'Daniel' so I'm glad to hear she's actually hooking up with someone who's both available and hot (Dan is a lovely gent, don't get me wrong). She seems really lovely. Kai and AJ were my favourite contestants but after the show ended I moved on with my life - I'm sure AJ will be fine and hey good red herring if it was just a showmance all along!

From the stories I've seen, he seems to speak very highly of Katya. I'm not always a fan of her routines on the show, but I do think she's one of the best teachers out of the pros

Late to pick this up, but I agree! Katya's a gem, and I'm glad Max is enjoying his experience.

re the Kai and Nadiya thing - I do love an unexpected twist Just goes to show you never know what goes on behind the scenes on that show. Which is as it should be, really - their personal lives are not the same as the entertainment (apart from when they decide to show us a bit of it of it).

Nadiya's had a cracking series - she really lucked out with Dan, and the two of them became such good friends and he built up her confidence while she taught him to dance. And now the Kai thing. Good for her.

Even when the previous winners perform on the launch show, it always feels a bit awkward to me. Everyone is excited about the new series so it always feels a bit out of place and inevitably the dance is never as good as you remember it being anyway.

I know it sucked for AJ to miss out like she did, but I just think too much time will have passed for most people to care about their showdance come September

I'd like to see it, but I agree that could probably feel awkward and wind up being a letdown if it was performed live on the show. It'd probably be better recorded in the studio and posted on instagram/youtube. Or else done on the Christmas Special.

John was mentioned a page or two back - I think he’s just exhausted. He’s been travelling back & forth for the tour and the TV show he’s on and I imagine it takes it’s toll after a few days.

Hopefully he’ll cheer up now he’s won one of the shows today. His face in the background of Rhys’ stories yesterday looked like he was being punished for being there He may be exhausted but no one is making him stay up drinking until 3am onwards

The newest development on DS is that some of them now think AJ & Kai will get together in the future. This is weird it gets even more weird and disrespectful for me, Kai has been pictured kissing another woman and they still can’t let their delusional thoughts go

And they keep going on about how they just can't see Kai and Nadiya lasting. Maybe they'll last another week, maybe they'll get married and have ten children, who knows, certainly not I, but apparently those posters have an oracle into the future.

I think this whole disillusion from KJ shippers is less to do with genuinely wanting the two together and more with the fact none of them want to admit to themselves they fell hook line and sinker for a showmance, whilst critiquing Rio fans for doing the same why they’d still want them together after Kai has supposedly ‘lead her on’ like this is beyond me!

She didn’t seem her normal chirpy self, but it was the end of a day of filming, so maybe just really tired?

I don’t think so, I think she has just closed that chapter of her life and is looking to get into presenting now, she said this on this morning last week. I do hope they have a baby soon though and that Janette is not struggling with fertility issues as it would be devastating to see all of the messages about it if she was.

agreed, both her and Aljaz have spoken publicly multiple times about wanting to be parents and seem like they’d be absolute naturals, so definitely hope it’s nothing more than natural planning excited to see where this new career path takes her beyond strictly

Probably backpedaling hard given they had no control over how this news was leaked.. my guess is it’s a very new relationship/small fling that was nowhere near the going public stage (could be that family members haven’t been informed etc and found out through press) and now they’ve got a situation on their hands
