I sadly had to go out for drinks with a friend I havent seen for a while so last dance I saw was Robert as Kermit... the horror. Just caught up on the rest of the show:

Greg, cringe although he looked very dilf-y. Karen is always stunning but her hair looked weird tonight
Rose and Gio were STUNNING
Tilly and Nikita were okay but he did almost twit her in the face and I was so distracted by his ill fitting suit
Ugo and Oti massively overmarked
Tom and Amy..... ugh. they were annoyingly quite good
Adam and Katya - I actually liked this one 🤣 i think it's because they're both so sexy
Gorka and Katie, I liked the dance but the dog tail on Gorkas suit made me so uncomfortable, it reminded me of furries and people who wear butt plugs with tails on the end of them
Rhys and Nancy, I love Rhys and love Spiderman but I HATEEEE couples choice with a passion. It obviously suit him and he's very talented but I just cant stand couples choice tit. I never count couples choice tens as real tens
Jon and Johannes.... OH GOD PLEASE CAN THEY WIN I LOVE THEM SO MUCH

Always a shame to see Luba sat without a partner. Stunningly gorgeous woman as is Nadiya. She and Dan may be at risk but tough to call really. The instrumentals were so much better than those with vocals, other than the Muppets. Agree that the Miss Piggy nose was the stuff of nightmares. Actually, the real stuff of nightmares would be the Miss Piggy nose in a montage with whatever that was during the Avatar dance.

What was with the pine cones on Motsi's head?

I loved Rose and Gio's dance was lovely, but the best part for me was the smile she gave at the start. So sweet.

quoting myself like a twit, but I do believe that there was also a usage of Wildest Dreams in Greg's vt, so an excellent week for us strictly swifties
 
I’m now of the opinion that Gorka doesn’t think very highly of Katie. Purely based on Gemmas support. Last year she was very vocal in chanting on Maisie. She was sharing loads of stuff & commenting on the show live. This time round there’s been hardly anything at all.
I may be putting 2&2 together and coming up with 7 though.
I think Katie has massively underestimated the amount of work she’d need to put in and has bitten off more than she can chew. Either that or she’s just not arsed. Whatever it is I’m a bit gutted for Gorka.

There’s definitely something more subdued about Gorka and I don’t think it’s because Katie isn’t the best dancer (he knew Katie Piper wasn’t great and it would be a relatively quick exit but he still seemed invested in the partnership). Katie Mc looks like she’d be hard work and I agree, she maybe thought it would be easier/come easier to her and she just can’t be arsed.

If they are in the dance off tonight, depending on who else is in it then they they could be saved and if so, how she reacts this week in training and next Saturday will be interesting.

I've nothing against Katie, but she seems to be one of those people on a bit of a different wavelength and I'm wondering if Gorka is just finding it difficult to *get* her, if that makes sense. You know when you're not entirely sure if someone is happy, pissed off, being sarcastic etc? And consequently, the audience don't really get her either, unfortunately

It must feel a bit crappy, knowing the public just aren't voting for you and you're not sure how to change that
 
Omg I'm a little bit obsessed with Kai and AJ! For me they're my faves, next is Rose and Giovanni! Coincidentally Kai and Giovanni are very good friends and spent most of lockdown together.

Least favorite is Dan I'm afraid. I really think he was the weakest link in last night's show.

I've always said strictly isn't solely a dancing competition it's also a personality contest. If you come across well you'll inevitably go far.

Wow! That opening dance and it made me so emotional. I’m so pleased that strictly clapped back at all the bigots who have complained about the same sex dancers by putting on that dance. It was breathtaking. John and Johannes dance was just amazing and the points were so well deserved. I adore Rose and Gio, they were just sublime. And I hate to admit that I enjoyed Tom fletchers dance!
 
Even if people do get together via Strictly, I don't think they would while it's actually running. They would just vibe off the sexual tension and excitement of it all.

I'm starting to hate couple's choice. It used to be a way of introducing something different but now it's either a floaty, bare-footed and overly emotional tribute to a dead family member or some sort of pseudo aerobics routine. I like Rhys but I thought I was watching a different routine to the judges.
