God that party that Gio and Kai were at looks to have an average age of 65! How bizarre! Either they know the hotel owners and got comped, or the gigolo option is real.
Glad the KJ shippers got something - AJ looked like she was having much more fun than them in her family's living room.
Happy new year everyone! Here's to.. better than whatever 2021 was. 🎉🎊🎆

I’m absolutely convinced it was a paid gig, but they seem to have made the most of it. I think he’d rather have been dancing with Flo in Blackburn though - they looked like they were having a right laugh :)

Bizarre they were the youngest there by 30 years at least :LOL: AJ, her elderly parents and younger brother appeared to be having a far more rocking New Year in their front room compared to Kai and Giovanni's dinning room full of old rich Italians.

Kai will need to book the next boys minibreak, although it would probably involve golf ( lots) rather than foam parties in Shagaluf!
He’s such an old head on young shoulders, get the feeling the six year age gap between him and AJ ( the opposite to him) is meaningless.

Kai might be a bit too elderly for her with his golf and sedate new years 🥳
I Know some wondered if Gio booked it for him and Maura but it doesn't look much like Maura's idea of a party either!

Gio is coming across more sophisticated than I gave him credit for now. Perhaps Rose has had a positive effect on him after all, and living with Mr Grown Up, steady relationship man may have helped too.
Having said that, he’ll probably be papped with an Insta Babe by next week :)

Yeah, I’d go for it too, but then I’m his mum’s age :) lets hope they sneak back some spare bottles of that Petrus back home!
 
I’m definitely not a fan of Gio but he was at that hotel before with Kai and Giulia (best dancer I’ve ever seen) Summer 2020.
He is with nonna who is a close family friend and they adore each other.
Rose definitely didn’t have an influence on him and introduce him to Italy and expensive hotels and wine 😬

Thanks for that, clears up who Nonna is! I know he’s pretty sophisticated really, but still a bit of a Playa ;)

Gio did show an attractive blonde hotel worker smiling at him, so not all is lost! Probably the only other person in the hotel under 60 mind you. Quite happy for them to be terribly chaste of course ( well Mr Widd, Gio can do what he likes)

I guess it’s just not the NYE trip I had in mind for those two, but somehow it’s even funnier than anything I could have pictured 😂 I know Gio gets a lot of stick for being a manwhore (which he is) but I feel like deep down he’s a bit of an old soul.

Also, does anyone know how long those two have been mates? I know they have known each other for a while but was Kai a dancer on one of Gio’s tours or?

I think while around 5 years Kai has an old instagram video of them going back at least 3-4 years they are at an Ed Sheeran concert.
Kai has even older friendships with Johannes, Katya and Neil.

I know he did the ‘Here come the Boys’ and ‘Burn the floor’ with a mixture of them. He appeared on BGT with Neil, Katya and assorted other as a Latin dance group when he was 18/19? Basically he’s known all the pros for a long time! Can’t believe it’s taken so long to get him on Strictly really, although DWTS may have had a contract he was stuck with.
