Sorry if this has already been posted but I’m shocked at John saying he’s gained a stone after 12 weeks of dancing?! Honestly he looks leaner than ever. I hope he’s ok 😟

He's Ukrainian I think! His sister's bio says 'born in Ukraine, living in Italy'
Not sure why they have such a link with Italy but I'm here for it 😅

Did anybody watch Anything Goes? Just catching up with it on iplayer and wondering if they ever use it for musicals week. Friendship would make a fun quickstep/Charleston for a couple with good acting and storytelling skills.

I didn’t , is it a remake of the 1930s musical? There are so many wonderful tunes from that era they could use for quickstep and american smooth.

Yes! It's on iplayer at the moment with Sutton Foster and Robert Lindsay, it's really good fun. I agree, it's a goldmine for ballroom songs!
 
Also - AJ is in full liking and commenting on insta and twitter today, causing chaos as always. Absolutely no denial about her ‘relationship’, so I’m starting to think we may be right about this after all. Hmmmmmm.

She loves all the folks gossiping about her potential relationship, so likes all sorts of comments and posts on twitter and insta from fans. If there was nothing going on she could have shut it down ages ago with the ‘friends for life’ phrase, but she hasn’t. Both families are leaving gushy comments and hearts on posts now as well, especially AJ and Kai's brothers. It’s way too much now to be just a joke really. I was prepared for them to be just pals, but this is starting to look a bit different. Lovely if they are, as they seem so good together.

Ive thought this for the past couple of years that Anything goes would be a great charleston in musicals week!! (y)

This whole shipping of AJ and Kai is getting weird now especially as they didn't confirm anything after the final like a lot of their shippers wanted them to; a lot of their fans really want them to be the next Joe and Dianne but it hasn't happened. I mean who knows they could be together and keeping it on the down low for now.

Call me a pessimist ( or a realist however you look at it) but for Kai's strictly competition sake then I don't think this is a good idea to tie his flag to AJ so soon especially in his first year. Even if he gets a duffer next year or a middle aged no hoper then I'm sure TPTB will be giving him another youngish (20's to early 30's journey contestant aka another AJ or stacey dooley or Georgia May Foote) attractive likeable female celeb at some point and Kai being a good looking youngish guy himself I think its best he remains single to have that connection to a parter as I cant imagine him having a brother/sister like connection partnership like Rose and Gio had for a good number of years.

In terms of personal life if he is happy with AJ then good on him but for competition wise then I don't see it doing him any good; he's better off a free agent.

He doesn’t appear to be a ‘player’ like Gio though ( his last relationship was for five years with an older woman), so maybe he really is happy to be with her? Even if they do, there is all the tour upheaval and then the months away with the pro tours and Strictly commitments. If it survives that, then great, good for them. Surely worth a go?

I’m not particularly a shipper by the way, just observing their behaviour, and it really seems to have changed the last few weeks. I love them both as individuals for their talents and personalities.
