Even if they wanted Bruno back (why???), I can't see them being in a position to sign him up, guaranteeing him it will be fine to fly back and forth every week, come September. I'm hoping things will be ok by then, but even so - is having a judge doing a transatlantic flight twice a week really something that should be happening these days?

And the thought of Anton going back to being a pro. Yikes. And would he even want to

Noooo....I don't want Bruno back!
They’re absolute fools if they replace Anton with Bruno. By the time the new series of Strictly comes around, it’ll have been three years since Bruno was last on the judging panel. The show has flourished without him and I haven’t seen any fans of the show crying out for his return. But I have seen lots of praise for Anton who’s proven to be an excellent judge and the respect the professionals have for him is clear.

We’ll keep Anton and DWTS can have Bruno.

It also sends a pretty crappy environmental message allowing him to constantly fly back and forth across the Atlantic so much. It’s not great that Motsi travels back and forth so much but at least she’s only in Germany (and could travel back via Eurostar) and commutes because of her child. He chose America in 2020. He can stay there as far as I’m concerned.

it's the mail, so I think we can take it with a mahoosive pinch of salt

personally, i'd have bruno back in a flash, I miss him pretending to fall off his chair all the time and all the yelling, but it seems he's perfectly happy in la on dwts

and I think they just can't go back to how it was before. it's been too long without bruno, there's no way tony beak could go back to being a pro and, for some reason, people like him as a judge

Which pro would get cut for Anton to return? I wouldn't mind seeing the back of Neil but think it would be grossly unfair to any of the 3 new guys this year. I'm not really sure that Cameron is going to be that good as a pro (I don't like his style of dancing and he seems like one that would outdance his celeb) but I'd far rather he got given one chance with a partner than a 19th season with Anton.

I can't see Anton going back to being a Pro, it's a demotion and wouldn't look good for him. I suspect Cameron will spend a couple of years on the bench maturing a bit and brushing up on his Ballroom.
Neil is 40 this year pretty old for a Pro that hasn't really made their mark however seeing Nadiya shine with the right celebrity makes me wonder if they will take a closer look at Neil and see if they could do the same for him.

I don’t think it would be fair on any of the pros (even Neil) and I’m still undecided if any of pros are going to leave and I think it’s unlikely with how uncertain the arts are right now. Anton bloody deserves his place on the panel and has a great knowledge and experience to draw from whilst judging.

Cameron very very young for a pro and whilst talented I fear he might end up like Chloe Hewitt. Great dancer just not quite the right fit for a strictly pro. I can’t imagine him in the training room with a celeb teaching.

Maybe but the difference between Neil & Nadiya is that she never actively put anyone off, she was just a bit anonymous. I see quite a lot of negative comments on social media about Neil and I do concur with them - his personalty hasn't quite clicked on screen IMO and his choreo for beginner celebs isn't that good.

That's a good point Nadiya hadn't made much of an impression but Neil has made a bit of a bad one and that's harder to change.
Neil's teaching is spoken of highly outside of Strictly I suspect he's one of those teachers who just isn't good at teaching a beginner he needs good groundwork already to have been laid for him to build upon.
This is where him and Katya were a really good team, Katya is excellent at teaching a beginner dancer and has the warmth that he lacks.

Another cute photo from yesterday

They’d be fools to get rid of Anton especially after Bruno’s been away for so long. There’s so many other things they need to look at before this. Ditching Tess for starters, I panic when someone says something that’s not in the script and on her auto cue as she can’t manage! That’s not a good presenter. Replace the singers with ones who can sing. Get rid of the soppy nonsense VT’s and let’s see them train and how the week has gone.

But hey, they won’t listen to the viewers…. We are nobody in their eyes. It’s their flagship show and they know people will keep watching no matter.

Well another series is over bar the Christmas show and yet again, no matter who the celebs, it was a good series. Very emotional final which isn't a bad thing, just feel bad for AJ as she had well and truly earned her place (and of course, Kai in his debut season). I don't get the constant criticism of Tess who does a better job than most of presenting live TV (not including fabricated Sunday) especially at a time when getting middle aged women off the screen is supposed (rightly) to be a bad thing.

So glad Rose won. For me, it was impossible to dislike her or not be moved by everything she did. No wonder Anton got emotional and Claude was there as well. Great finale to a good series.
