Can you imagine how good it would have been with the extra 12 weeks of training! I have a sliver of hope I might see it on tour if she's healed enough and if Covid restrictions don't return. Both of those are big IFS. 😔

I understand what you mean, though perhaps my understanding is from a different angle. I watch Strictly more for the dances, performativity and choreography than the personalities and relationships, so I base my support for whatever couple on those factors. If a pro has produced brilliant dances with a certain celebrity, my Comparison Mode always switches on when that pro has a new partner in the next series.

I've mithered about him all season, but the whole mi amigo memorial thing and fly past was a lovely thing. I actually watched it from my bedroom window!

He is still in touch with the chap as well and sees him regularly when taking his dog for a walk. He took Nadiya to meet him and they had a dance.

Bill was a breath of fresh air last year, with his absolute refusal to engage in any gushy, touchy-feeling, sobbing crap. I’m enjoying imagining the ex-X-Factor chap trying his damndest to get him to go all uber-woobie and Bill just being all ‘Ah yes, but did you know that there are cave paintings that show primitive man doing moves akin to the basic samba steps, and archaeologists have found evidence that … … …’ 🤣
 
Sorry to be ageist but Anton is in his 50s, he was actually older than every female celeb this year and can't handle celebs who don't do the joke act routine plus pretty much all of the younger pros can dance circles around him. What asset is he to the pro lineup? He has a new role that he's actually good at, keep him in it and don't f*ck this one up BBC. You'll just screw a younger pro out of having their shot.

I actually would consider not watching next year if a young pro got ditched for Anton to do his usual 2-3 weeks with a duffer and Bruno to return with his usual schtick that we've already seen for over 15 years. And it's not like Bruno isn't earning plenty of money judging at the Tyra Show in the States.
