AJ and Kai - obsessed, nearly brought me to tears. She is so gorgeous and elegant. They were both absolutely in the moment, it was properly spellbinding.
Rhys and Nancy - I just don't get it. Every single dance, so frantic and all over the place. There's only so far 'great energy' will take you, hopefully he's in the bottom tonight.
Tom and Amy - don't jump me. Based purely on the dancing, I thought it was better than Rose and Gio's last week, but obviously theirs was a *moment*. I just hate Couples Choice, I don't understand what purpose it serves and I don't think the judges can mark it effectively. How are Shirley and Anton supposed to judge contemporary/street dances with any real credibility? All they can go off was whether it had the right 'feeling' (or 'attitude' if it's a street dance, for reasons).
Rose and Giovanni - wasn't overly fussed about their dance, quite forgettable really? I don't understand why they were given that song for a quickstep when they had to alter the time signature of it ever so slightly - why not just choose a song that's more suitable in the first place?
John and Johannes - again, meh! They definitely peaked too soon, this was their most forgettable dance to date. I agree with what someone said up thread, I think they're actually suffering with all the lead switching they're doing - and they do SO much out of hold. They need to do something special next week I think.
Tilly and Nikita - never in all my LIFE is that a 40 when AJ's Charleston from the other week was only a 39. Possibly the least deserving 40 I've ever seen. The only true 40 of this series has been Rose and Gio's tango.
Dan and Nadiya - pleasantly surprised, I quite enjoyed it, but only against the context of him being such a bad dancer usually.
