There isn't any central heating, it says on the details some rooms have electric heaters, I dread to think what it'll cost her to have that put in
We’ve had 3 properties without central heating. You honestly don’t need it. Lots of ways around it these days. Also a lot cheaper to run. If I was moving in here I’d have solar panels possibly a windmill depending on cost.

I also grew up in a house with central heating and didn't need it! When I moved into a home with it, I really struggled to get used to it! I still don't like it now. I'd imagine going the other way and adjusting to not having it after having it would be harder though,

She’s not allowed to, his mum has said. Just sounds a bit like a jealous ex really 🤷‍♀️
I know someone who has some connection with that boy's mum and said Joe was an utter bastard to her and not a good dad. The person was shocked at how his IAC image so different to what he had put his ex through. From what I heard its probably justified animosity rather than jealousy. Not that I would have assumed any mum's reason for not letting SS put her child on Insta was down to jealousy anyway. I think its protection when she sees what SS's own kids have to do.

I don’t, I think its a clever move. Living in the previous house -£1.2million for that, that’s a joke, in my opinion that’s false economy 😆
This new house was obviously owned by an older person and needs maintenance and bringing up to date, she’s not stupid, may act it but I don’t think she is, she’ll get the professionals in.
I suspect she’s living mortgage free, has a good income, probably invested her money and the interest alone could pay running costs.
She says it’s a forever home, we’ll see, the location wouldnt be for me. Even if it isn’t I’m sure she’ll add value

i agree. I don’t think it’s listed. theres too many modern additions to it.
I reckon it’s a good investment especially if her last house was the same price. She’s getting more from her money because of the size and land difference! She’ll be up to her neck in it with the amount of renovating she has to do. It’ll need central heating and maybe even better off getting underfloor heating. Think the total renovating will cost 200k+ but i think that’ll add double that to the value of the property and still less than the original asking price.

Theres another house that’s sold near Stacey’s, the same age, the owners have done it up modern and really beautiful. I hope Stacey gets inspiration from this one because then her home will look gorgeous.

anyway, just came over here to say I hope she doesn’t get rid of the beams in the lounge (If she even can, listed or supporting) because they are the character of that type of property!

Same! It would be such a shame to get rid of all the character! You can retain the core features like the beams and stained glass whilst still modernising it with a nice new kitchen etc.

Out old house had no central heating upstairs, you get used to it, although it is a pain.

Will be interesting to see how it all pans out. Her big grey L shaped sofa doesn't look right for a start but they have just moved in to be fair. When you have a period property there is a lot to consider to make it modern yet in keeping with the style of the house. Hope they get professional interiors advice and it doesn't become a haven of naff craft content. Please don't fill it with plastic tat. Or get rid of beams!

Just watched her last story, on about knocking living room / snug into a square. That wooden frame / beams would have to go if she did that.
Shes totally going to ruin that house isn’t she?
