Soph's had a busy old week admiring her own reflection. Her poor phone seems to have amassed some weird viral growth!

Sophie brings absolutely nothing to the table apart from worshipping her own reflection. I wonder what will happen in a few years when the podcasts end and the lustre fades, and she realises she has no discernible skillset?

She seems to be more obsessed with her image than ever, especially in the last few months. I think she wants to still feel desirable and as appealing as possible to the opposite sex, like there's some void there. She's not getting what she needs from Jamie sexually or attraction-wise, and IMO, her recent incessant fixation with mirror selfies and model-esque poses in strange locations are a desperate cry for attention. Maybe now she's (somewhat) off the ❄, this is her new obsession.

Jamie asking if he’s punching again? Is that the appeal, he wants to go out with someone that he feels people are impressed that he’s managed to get. It should be about who he’s attracted to, forget what other people think and he’s the one whos got more going for him really with business, podcast etc

I don’t understand why he thinks he’s punching.
He married someone who is repulsed by him and makes it publicly known that she’s not one bit attracted to him.
She had cold feet all the way up to the wedding.
She hated her honeymoon and as soon as they were back she checked herself into rehab.

The lack of respect she has for him really outweighs her looks and makes her even unattractive in my opinion.

She’ll ride it out until they have kids so she’ll be entitled to child support and then she’ll dip.
I think that’s why he’s so hesitant to have kids and buy a house.

I do find it so bizarre how reluctant he is to have kids as he seems the sort to be really pushy about it (trying to make up for his lost childhood to boarding school, also side note, have you noticed whenever he talks about something that happened at school he ALWAYS says ‘when I was at boarding school’ Jamie, if we didn’t already know, the fact you went to boarding school SCREAMS out of you anyway, you needn’t mention it every chance you get…)

anyway, many boarders and other neglected children tend to have kids as soon as they can so they can be ‘kids’ again and try to do it ‘right’. I think he knows Sophie will dip the moment she’s had a couple of sproglets so is longing it out

It was very dependent on on my Dad’s job as he was a diplomat so worked abroad. We spoke on the phone every day, except when I was a teenager and some days couldn’t be bothered Horrible brat looking back! Obviously every holiday we would be with them in whichever country he was an ambassador in at the time, and exeat weekends they’d try to come back to England and we’d all be together, although sometimes it was just my Mum who could come back, again dependent on Dad’s job/country. i never felt abandoned or left there. My parents are wonderful people who would do anything for me and my siblings.

I wanted to board so I didn’t have to move country and school every two years with my dad’s job. I loved it, personally. Not saying everyone did, like any school really.

People are just so closed-minded about boarding schools - every student has different reasons for being there remember. Quite a lot of us had parents in the army or government service.

Being the wife of a diplomat is a bit of a job in itself, you’re expected to attend and host a lot of events. But she did spend as much time in England as possible.
