Binge plates 🤢 I’m so lucky I had consultants who encouraged members to use their syns on meals with things like real gravy, sauces. I also remember one who reminded people 15 syns a day was maximum and not target 🎯 She was also great in educating members that you need to have speed on the plate, not as an after thought as that’s where the loss comes from.

Thats a great consultant! Unless youre gonna have fry light roasties forever then you need to learn whats a reasonable amount of oil to use.

Saw someone on the PON fb page say there gravy is say 120 cals per portion but Bisto for a portion is less. People arguing that its made of free foods so calories dont matter. 🤡

I got blocked from that page after highlighting exactly the same thing 🤣 Pleased to see people are still speaking out. Other Facebook SW pages are pathetic too, I came off after Brenda kept banging on about how Lasagne Sheet crisps didn’t effect her weighloss and the reason she loses weight is because she has cheat meals.

The calorie content of the PON free gravy thing vs either normal homemade or Bisto is ridiculous, not to mention the salt content as it uses about 10 stock cubes. Sometimes you just have to use your common sense with 'free' food vs those with a syn value but you know the calorie/fat content is low but they're still applying 1 syn per 20 cal to it. We are moving house soon so I'm trying to run the cupboards/freezer down, came across some ready made polenta for example that's 75 cal per 100g and less than 1g of fat, it works out less than pasta but it's 3.5 syns per 100g on SW 🤷‍♀️ it's a 250g serving so I'm not counting like 9 syns for it, I'll just have it as I would my 'free' carb as it will work out similar energy intake.

My consultant is like that and calls it savvy syns for when you’re at target

So me personally I don’t have choc sweets and biscuits in the house in batches as it’s just too much temptation to not eat a whole packet of biscuits so my extra syns I use like proper oil for roasties instead Of fry lite

Consultant makes a massive difference. Despite there being several closer classes I chose to go to one in a nearby town as I can't abide the consultants in my own. One runs about 100 classes in a plush hotel, clearly is all about the numbers but doesn't have a clue who you are and more importantly, really doesn't care so long as you're giving her your money. The other one is OK but when I went to her class for a weigh in (as I couldn't make my own that week) I got quizzed as to why I went to this other town when I lived in this one....none of your business love 🤣

Mine might be at target but she's probably a comfortable 14/16 so not skinny but her size has been stable pretty much the whole time I've known her which is more telling of a happier relationship with food. She's warm, helpful and doesn't buy into any of the fads that come around. She'll always be honest about tweaking the plan and how it doesn't help and the importance of speed foods. Equally she doesn't demonise any food and is a great advocate of using syns on "proper" food rather than a pile of shite of an evening. So many members are determined not to eat syns and have free meals but can guarantee they're the ones who will end up binging as they're depriving themselves.

Thoughts on Becs Bites Instagram?

Not sure she's doing anything different from the likes of PON/TCC. All hail the fakeaway and beige food made SW style 😏

Thoughts on Becs Bites Instagram?
Seems like a nice girl however don’t see her as inspirational, again with the huge portions of beige, hardly any speed just afterthought side salads and has lost the weight very slowly because of this. Doesn’t seem to be actually addressing her issues with food. I’ve never made any of her recipes as they are always full of processed ingredients.

I really like her and get a lot of food ideas from her

Yes, she seems nice, has her own cook book aswell which is indicative that she can actually cook and knows what she is doing. She isn't a glory hunter like most of the others. The other big accounts are very 'me, me, me' and they all tend to copy of accounts like Becs Bites but they don't actually have any real talent.

I get irritated by the mountains of beige she posts. Every meal she makes is for likes not weight loss.

Got to love the 'paid partnership' bit 😂😂😂

isn’t it strange how they’re all using Protein World oats 🥴

Sounds like the consultant I had! She was ace. She also used to veer people away from muller lights (before they were synned!) “donut and sweetener is not a natural flavour” that stuck with me 😂
She also used to use her syns for meals and encouraged her members to do the same, “best to have a little of something good” (eg white sauce instead of cottage cheese in a lasagne lol)
I really liked her, I reached target in 2016, got pregnant and kept it off x
I have heard absolute horror stories about other groups though 😱😱😱

I was wondering what people’s thoughts are on hifi bars. I want to know if people like them, I have missed them and wondered if anyone can suggest alternatives?
I like them but certain ones give me a banging headache cos of the sweeteners and stuff in them. Been ages since I’ve had them but the carrot cake and lemon drizzle ones were bad for it. Everyone is different though I just react badly to things sometimes. I like the Fibre One popcorn bars which I think are still a Healthy extra? Not really been having them since I’ve been home all the time!
