Don't understand why you say that, everyone in business makes money and spends it how they want, same as you.
I have just joined SW
This thread is for criticism and piss taking of SW.
You won't find any tips or syn values on here.
If you like SW and think it's good, you won't like 95% of what is said on here.
Don't be suprised and defensive when people disagree with you.

I visited a slimming world group when I spent some time with my daughter in Yorkshire recently and the consultant was so nice, friendly and knew what they were talking about. The consultant for my local group in the South is useless by contrast. How is there such a difference if they are all supposed to be trained the same.

I usually have a say about some of the idiotic members I see online rather than slate slimming world itself, slimming world is very flawed and I can’t tell you why I am a member sometimes.

Its not without merits. It showed me that I could lose weight, before I did SW I had never lost more than a few lbs.
Some of the recipes are fairly decent.
I don't dispute it works in short term but in the long term I don't believe it works.
I also believe its designed that way to keep members returning.

By 'unoffically' I take it that he used his home scales which said a loss and the SW ones said gain.
Surely he and his wife can't be implying SW scales are inaccurate...
This reminds me of Charles thefoodieslimmer, who before he disappeared said his gain must have been because of the scales being calibrated differently at the group he weighed in at and his regular group.

What ever happened to thefoodieslimmer, like why did he suddenly disappear? he had such a massive following???

Gemma’s book will consist of 500g of carbs every day and primula
Cooking is very average and all her recipes on her grid are from ideas that have been done to death.
You don't even need to buy these books.
There loads of low cal/syn recipes on free blogs such as slimmingeats, slimming foodies, 2 chubby cubs etc.
(Not pinch of nom...thieves who have yet to lose 1lb between them).

His beloved Ninja air fryer exploded and he went into a period of mourning.

He disappeared after blaming the scales at group for a gain, or small loss, can’t remember. Someone on this thread commented on it thereby proving that he, along with most who deny it, read Tattle 🤣

It was a calibration difference

There are so many recipes and ideas online as you say and I’m sure most of these new ‘cookbooks’ are just attempts to reinvest dishes that many people have made for years. Hopefully it’s just a phase and they all realise it’s not going to make them money or boost their following. They aren’t going to end up on This Morning cooking with Gino!!

I yearn for the simpler times of when every SW insta hun thought they'd made it when they got a spice code.
Now they all have crappy cookbooks.
Who is this Gemma B please could someone share her profile page?

I think I have missed that other 5%? Haha

50 recipes with iPhone photography created by an insta gal, £25 is a bloody rip off🤣😭 I’ve never spent that much on much bigger recipe books from professional chefs!!View attachment 1347726 q
That is a joke who pays £25 for a hardback cookbook these days when on Amazon usually you can get them for £10 just as that comment alludes to. Unbelievable.

My concern would be that someone genuinely seems to want to buy it?

It costs so much because miss ego self published and insisted on having hard back physical copies.
She will have paid for printing out of her own pocket so she needs to charge insane prices to try and make her money back.
If she was something special a publisher would have approached her

I did wonder I assumed they just upload photos and write some rubbish and it pops out a digital book to download.

I don’t think she has self published! A couple of other food instagrammers have released identical books in the last week, looks like HP have decided to bank on the food instagrammers.

Sounds like there will be more and more then. That’s craziness. It’s this sort of thing that prevents people dealing with their relationship with food so that any weight loss can be sustained. The gram really is a lost cause and I think anyone wanting to really get healthy and focus on that shouldn’t be blogging or doing recipe books.
