Id have thought with her degree in maths and constantly banging on about her love of data that shed have concluded the nurse was collecting information so the HSE can understand better why our breastfeeding rates are so low in Ireland*

But no, main person syndrome kicks in and she assumes the PHN secretly knows why she quit but makes her say it out loud just to shame her 🙄

If you're SO COMFORTABLE with your decision why are you so triggered Shivvers? And let's face it, you literally said you quit because it was inconvenient but are upset it's been recorded as "inconvenient" 🙄

12 months ago she would have been raging if she couldn't find facts and statistics on breastfeeding women and why there's not much support, why they stop etc. She's triggered by everything.

Put that in your Sunday paper and smoke it.

If she was asked by the nurse to provide data about the damage done to her joints from running I'm sure she'd have no problem then. Because she needed that data to understand what utter bollix she was talking before quietly deleting a video of herself talking bollix about the damage she mistakenly thought running did to your joints
 
Not that I give a shite about how she feeds her baby but at same time she was switching to formula she was telling everyone how easy breastfeeding was. So easy she gave it up. Also if you’re on your own, why the hell would you need to pump, sterilize and then feed the baby. The upside of breastfeeding is that you can just feed them. Fecking lol at someone triggering her. If she really felt comfortable with her choice she’d just own it.
 
I never comment on Siobhains thread, I have zero interest in a debate about breast feeding , but that question is asked to every single mother who breast fed at some stage and then quit breastfeeding, it’s for statastics, to collect and put together , and see the reasons why people give up breastfeeding, and see can powers that be make changes in the future , nothing to do with “shaming her”
Her PHN would have been doing a clinic of maybe 10 babies that day , asking the same questions , in all honesty she probably couldn’t give a flying F why she did or didn’t continue breastfeeding

And she repeats this "but I had to pump and sterilise" shite every time she over explains why she quit (a decision SHE IS VERY COMFORTABLE WITH 😂) like pumping and sterilizing is an inherent part of breastfeeding?!

Why the duck did she not just breastfeed with her actual breasts ?! We know Ned didn't take the kid overnight until she was on bottles, there was a time he was in the apartment every day and god love him but hes already seen the goods up close at least once , it couldn't have been *that* traumatizing for him seeing her nips again, so it's hardly that she was embarrassed.

Basically, why was she bReAsTfEeDInG dIfFeReNtLy?
 
Again, no interest in sparking the debate but they are really trying to provide better supports to mothers around breastfeeding. As everyone else has said they only asked her because they're collecting data so they can change and improve the supports available to women who want to breastfeed (note I said WANT)

She was triggered because she obviously feels bad about it. If she didn't want to answer she could have said "I'm not comfortable discussing this with you" as would the "boss witch" she pretends to be not run to social media to gob off about it

They shouldn't have to give a reason? Ireland has such low rates of bf. Why shouldn't they try understand the reasoning behind why. It's no shame either way but jesus h christ she takes everything so personally.

And i remember her saying it was so easy at the time because i was also bf but now she's saying it was too hard? Pick a side you melt.
 
I doubt she has any regrets about giving up breastfeeding as Shiv will always suit herself. She most likely had to pump and dump because she was back drinking and it became too much.

Her content has been shite lately which would mean little or no engagement. What better way to boost it than with a "I was shamed for not breastfeeding post" She's probably sitting on the couch grinning to herself as all the lick arses run to reassure her.
 
But she literally stopped because it was inconvenient! There’s no other reason. According to Siobhan the baby latched well and she had no issues with supply etc. There was no reason to pump etc except for Siobhan’s convenience. Even if she wasn’t co-parenting she would have hated to be chained to a baby 24/7 and unable to go the gym or go out in the evening. She stopped breastfeeding so other people would be able to give her bottles.

This is a chronic issue with young people. I know Slob’s not young but we know she’s seriously emotionally stunted. They act like Billy Big Bollox online but can barely hold a conversation in person. Slob probably silently scuttled out of the clinic with her signature scowl, stomped home and threw Cantaloupe in front of the tv for a few hours while she composed that bullshit. Textbook Slob; whatever she is doing/has done at any particular point is the correct and only thing to do
 
Formula feed required way more sterilising so…. There’s that.

She really annoyed me. She was going on about how easy BF was and when she quit (quietly) she was legit like “completed it mate” and off she went. She could have combo fed is she’s so aware of the value of BF but as the PHN recorded, she stopped for convenience. Same with her parenting. Bouncer, walker, iPad, TV, minded by a different person every hour…

And breast feeding awareness week is not a parade or to shove it in anyone’s face and I’m sick to death of that narrative. It’s not an “us vs them” debate. It’s awareness, information, story sharing, fact sharing, normalising.

Off I go to mumsnet 😂

I dont like siobh infact I despise her but I do agree with her to an extent I was shamed at a PHN appointment for choosing not to breastfeed. I was adamant from the start I wasn’t doing it and when I told PHN that she basically said your reasoning is ridiculous think about your baby and all the nutrients etc and I came out of the appointment bawling crying. I think it should be a persons choice and I understand they want to encourage it but it doesn’t need to be drilled into people that breastfeeding is best. My experience is Breast is not best a happy fed baby is what matters. Some PHNs can be very ignorant and backwards with their beliefs but I know for a fact Siobhan went in high and mighty thinking her baby is a boss baby and she was quickly brought back down to reality.
