I wish I knew why creators are so infatuated with how SSSniperWolf makes her thumbnails. "Ooh, this creator is SO popular, so I should make my thumbnails exactly like theirs." Deli would probably have an easier time getting people to click on her videos if a) her ideas were interesting enough to make a thumbnail out of and b) her thumbnails actually showed what the video was about. Deli's Wedding Stories thumbnail is just a bunch of people standing around. You couldn't put them under an arch and take a cute picture of them exchanging rings or any other interaction? You are a graphic design artist and slap your thumbnails together so lazily. It boggles my mind that a small creator I watch, who uses a free program and taught themselves how to use it, makes better thumbnails than someone with a graphics design degree.
It's also the chance to go on EA funded trips, opportunity to meet/work for other companies, free merch etc. There is a lot of opportunity and money to be had by being part of the Game Changers. Deli got thousands of dollars in merchandise and free product from companies just because of her connections with EA. Each trip Deli went on was probably $2000 on EA's dime. Then EA promotes her and others through social media, sending even more eyeballs and money their way. Lots of creators see the Game Changers as an easy way to grow their channel. Why grind out years of hard work and excellent videos when you can essentially cheat the system and get free stuff for doing it?
