it’s like in an old episode where Carrie wants big to meet her friends - he says something to Samantha like ‘so, I hear you’re dating an old coot’ and she shrieks like it’s the funniest thing she’s ever heard.
The scene with the older guy when you see his saggy wrinkly arse as he walks away would never make it into AJLT. Too ageist/body shaming/against arses that looked like ball bags.

In SATC it made you cringe because it was a grim bum let's be honest but Samantha made it light.

Carrie wants to reassure herself that she is "better" than the other women, I mean witch they are ex's, maybe the women got fed up of the men and dumped them and are now laughing to themselves that you have to tolerate their nonsense, nonsense like a chicken coming into the house and laying an egg on your bed, good luck dealing with that in Prada. Oh new episode title "Which came first, the chicken or the Chanel?"
I always thought Petrovsky’s ex was really cool

In the topic of families. I assume the person giving Charlotte away when she marries Trey is her father and from how quickly he appeared when Charlotte decides to go ahead with the wedding he must have heard the ‘Trey can’t get it up’ exchange word for word 😳

I always think of that episode and Charlotte’s dad just appearing without a word 🤣🤣 my dad would have been like “get a move on hen, Carrie get doon that aisle”

I’m near the end of rewatching s2. I think Carrie was punching with Big and they both knew it. But she was so annoying and frankly a little psychotic; turning up to the church when he was with his mum, making an appt to meet his ex wife, being a dick at that Upper East Side party and making out with Jeremiaaaah, kept pushing Big to say he loved her when he clearly didn’t, forcing a relationship when he made it pretty clear they were ‘just having fun.’ The list goes on.

With Aidan I think they both thought he was punching, hence she basically treated him how Big treated her.

On an aside Carrie was always a snidey witch to Sam. Always butting in with slut shaming comments. Whilst Sam was always the kindest and most non judgemental friend.

This! Carrie is insufferable in season 2. Sam, a delight. Even when Charlotte is vile to her about Wesley, she accepts the apology with warmth and style. What a great friend. Charlotte and Carrie in particular are too up their own arses to realise.
