Just been reading through the threads to catch up. I think it’s the bursting out of their status pods nature of it all that’s making it all so stilted and unreal.

Eg Miranda’s behaviour when first meeting her professor. I’ve seen social media posts saying this sort of nervousness and foot in mouth stuff isn’t unrealistic but it’s whether or not the character Miranda would have done that. She would have had colleagues of colour for years and years. More realistic would have been for her to have been offending existing friends or colleagues with White Saviour behaviour.

……….and remember Miranda’s hot doctor ……..acting like she’s never seen a person of colour before………ridiculous!

I couldn’t watch more than 10 minutes of this. The cringe factor was too high.
does it get any better ?? Should I persue it?
Imagine the characters you loved from the orginal series, all given a personality transplant and dumped into a bad dream, stumbling though a carnival style "Hall of Mirrors" where everything is distorted and a little bit "Off"

In other words, it's unmissable.

Finally watched the ‘kitchen finger’ Ep. Not much to say about the kitchen scene 😏 apart from Che is now becoming creepy and predatory, I don’t like it. I enjoyed the rest, Charlotte and especially Harry were sensitive, Carrie got some sparkle back enjoying the good looking young men and looking fabulous and Samantha even seemed present. Anyone else read those text messages in her voice?

At the age of 55, Carrie is going to learn about Hinduism. And the festival of light will be a metaphor for something.
At the age of 55, naïve New Yorker Caroline Preston, nee Carrie Bradshaw, thought the only 2 choices in religion were Christianity or Judaism. Boy, is she in for a shock when she finds out about a THIRD religion, that apparently one or two people in the world are into.

Man, is she going to feel shamed when she realises how closed minded she's always been. Living in New York, which nobody would ever describe as a melting pot, it has been hard for her and her close knit group of friends to come to terms with the fact that not everyone is the same as them, she has only recently been exposed to it for some reason.
