The statement is also very on vibe with the new show, to be real for a second thats a good thing.
Historically women have been subjected to too much scrutiny when reporting incidents like these and for so many that prevents them doing so.
Again I think its refreshing, the show may be crap but that attitude is something I can get behind. I certainly wouldn't heckle Noth on the street or anything but I'd be incredibly cautious of him. I don't care what the motives are behind the statement they still spoke out.

not sure if this interview with PF to promote emily in Paris has been posted?

Field couldnā€™t do the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That, because she was filming in Paris, so she suggested Molly Rogers, who worked with her on the original show. What does she think of the looks so far, such as Carrie in a baby-blue Norma Kamali bodycon dress? ā€œI like some of it, I donā€™t like all of it, but I know what Mollyā€™s dealing with.ā€ I sit up straight ā€” is she about to spill some tea? ā€œWell, I know those gals!ā€ she laughs. ā€œSarah Jessica thinks she knows everything ā€” and she does.ā€ (The two have a similar sense of style, she says, having met on the set of the 1995 film Miami Rhapsody; Parker then recommended Field for the Sex and the City gig.) ā€œCynthia Nixon thinks she knows everything ā€” and she doesnā€™t!ā€ she cackles. ā€œEven today, when I speak with Molly, itā€™s about Cynthia. I say, ā€˜I remember what you are going through.ā€™ ā€

I only just realised there was thread for the reboot so excuse me while I word vomit. I think the showā€™s interesting and Iā€™m more intrigued as it goes on. Of course there is the bad points but overall it seems okay to me. I think the fact that theyā€™d made it more of a drama series than a comedy like the original sort of makes Carrie more likeable, her personality is more suited to it and she comes across way less annoying for me. What I donā€™t like is the whole wokeness thing happening around Miranda and the way Charlotte is so self absorbed with making Carrie go to Lilys recital and then leaving Carrie at the funeral home to go take a nap. I like that Carrie was like ā€œI didnā€™t invite you because you can get emotionalā€, I wouldnā€™t want her around either if I just wanted to feel tit for a while. As someone else said theyā€™re a bit like caricatures of themselves. Also I find the whole Brody scenes pointless, they could have left that out but I feel like weā€™re just going to get more and more as the series goes on. I think itā€™s a shame that Sam isnā€™t in it but I like the flower scene, it shows that she still cares even if theyā€™re not on good terms. It reminded me of the scene on the honeymoon after she got left at the alter where Sam is making her eat for the first time in a while - it shows she has her back when it comes to Big. I donā€™t really care about Big dying but it did annoy me that she didnā€™t call 911ā€¦also the shoes! (Donā€™t talk to me about it being symbolic, it was unnecessary!! šŸ˜šŸ˜‚).
I forget what the big drama with Natasha was, I only remember there being an affair so Iā€™ll probably have to go rewatch that but she seemed a bit overdramatic? Natasha already knew that she appeared in the will, youā€™d think she wouldnā€™t try to block her and not want to speak to her. Even if he didnā€™t love her and had an affair with someone else that he eventually ended up marrying, you would think after all those years afterwards she would wonder why sheā€™s there and would at least consider talking to Carrie about it? Or am I too heartless? I really donā€™t know, Natasha just seemed like a witch in episode 3 šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø Thank you, I donā€™t know anyone else watching it and Iā€™ve been holding that in for 2 weeks šŸ˜

That doesn't surprise me about Cynthia. She's achingly smug, super-woke and, I imagine, pretty annoying to work with. She also looks like a total shambles when she hasn't been styled (although, to be fair, PF did put Miranda in some truly horrendous outfits). I don't love SJP, but I do think she has an original sense of style and dresses for herself.

I don't think the lack of saying "we're shocked" is them admitting they knew at all. They've taken a few days to think, this is a statement that will have been very carefully crafted by their teams, and probably the tv company.
"Shocked" suggests they never saw any of this behaviour, and it leaves room to suggest that maybe they think the women are lying. It suggests that's not the Chris Noth they knew, which may be true, but has that tone of "well he never did it to ME" which some people see as victim blaming.

I wasnā€™t assuming books should be redundant, I love a good book to read- however when I was studying 10 years ago I preferred an electronic device- we are all different in how we learn.

My comment was based around the show and how it just seems the characters have been left in 2004 when times have moved on around them. Thatā€™s my opinion and donā€™t feel Iā€™m unfair to say. Iā€™m new here & thought it was a place to voice opinions without the pitch forks
Disagreeing isnt using pitchforks? Maybe avoid the internet if you're that sensitive

I think they needed to say something and saying they support the women who have come forward is pretty damning to Noth.
I think they been very careful to acknowledge the allegations in as few words as possible. It's a very short statement and everyone is dissecting it. I agree they can't win.

I think they used ā€œsaddened.ā€ not ā€œshockedā€

But that's what makes their statement weirder. There is no 'we are shocked', just that they are saddened.

Let's not forget this statement wouldn't have just been done while walking down the street. There would be meetings, referring to different departments and likely legal teams representing the three actresses, pr people production, production studio etc etc. It will be very carefully planned and worded.

I think they have been careful not to cast any disbelief of the women. Any words such as ā€˜we are shockedā€™ would undoubtedly be linked to disbelief by some people out there and that would probably cause bigger backlash for them. I think they have acknowledged it without saying anything that could be misconstrued.

I agree and I am guilty for dissecting it and trying to read between lines, I guess I am just shocked, but it's true they cant win, if they say nothing it's bad, say something it's bad.
It's a shā‚¬t show all round for this reboot.

I thought she looked horrendous in one of her outfits in episode 3. She was wearing very high waisted cream or white trousers and they did nothing for her.
