The Stanford restaurant scene was probably the best scene in terms of comedy in the series.

Che's stand up went on forever, I do think it is more of an American thing too with identity, not gender and sexuality but just in general 'I'm Mexican and Irish' it feels like a lot of Americans need to define themselves this way even though their european ancestry might have been 5 generations back, when actually no-one in their 'home' country cares when they rock up as a tourist. Always the sexy countries too, you never hear them say 'I'm half English'.

The Peloton thing as far as I'm aware they will havy had to sign off on for exactly this reason, this is why in shows like New Girl they drink fictional beer. There is a company dedicated to making fake products to skirt around these issues. What if Big was shown drinking Heinken then killed someone as a drunk driver? America is the home of the sued after all, Peloton will have agreed to this then not realised the impact of the story line since he didn't die on the bike. Whoever signed off on this then on the advert following it will probably be jobless given the new allegations.

That said, they didn't kill Big off because of the allegations. If they knew about those he would have died off screen, start with his funeral and still do the Samantha exposition. Big was killed off to reset Carrie's story.

Kim Catrall is well out of it, feels like the second film was such a duck up they have tilted too far the other way.

I thought the scenes between Carrie and Natasha in the cafe were good.

What’s the deal between Stanford and Charlotte?!
I thought SJP’s acting was good in this scene. It was interesting to see that they’re only about 5/6 years apart in age but Natasha was presented as this significantly younger woman.

I know! Just seemed needless and out of the blue

have the straightforward kids instead of woke kids

Sorry I know a few people have mentioned this comment so not beefing you but just wanted to rep my beloved Rose as no one else had mentioned her! She is a foreign (iirc?) adopted child so it’s unrealistic to expect her to not question anything to do with race, identity, and representation?

I actually really enjoy her character and think she’s been very well written, if anything she feels more grown up than teenage? But her interactions with Charlotte have been lovely & a genuine pleasure to watch. Which is a rarity in this show 😂

Rose wasn’t adopted - Lily was. Charlotte gave birth to Rose.

I think you mean lily, rose is their bio kid

I’m getting really pissed off with all the focus on Che. Since when did being non-binary (or any ‘identity’) become a substitute for a personality? Anthony’s response to Charlotte about Rose was the best part of the episode. I don’t want to be lectured to by SATC, sorry and the podcast is just horrible and not funny. No one should be wanking in public, man or woman, and Carrie should have ripped that guy a new one, not just sat there looking embarrassed. This is where we end up when every so called ‘kink’ is valid.

On another note, I saw Big’s death coming a mile off. I’m just glad it didn’t happen during the masturbation scene (and there were some facial expressions from Big in there that I could have lived the rest of my life without seeing).

Miranda has turned into a fkin idiot. I get what they’re trying to do with her character, but I can’t believe a smart woman in her fifties who lives in New York, wouldn’t know enough not to go on about a black professors hair.

I did like LTW’s husband though. ‘He don’t got it’ was about the only laugh in that episode with Susan Sharon’s ‘doesn’t anyone remember what a prick he was to her?’ being the only one in ep 2.

Oh, and I miss Samantha.

I'm surprised to see there's only 6 years between SJP and Bridget Moynahan - Natasha to me looks like a much younger woman than Carrie and Miranda; I can't say she looks significantly younger than Charlotte but then Charlotte's face is pumped full of filler and who knows what else.

Bridget Moynahan looks great. I haven't seen her in a while. Good to see she hasn't messed with her face!
