Selling on Depop and Vinted #17

I hate the Vinted dicks over on ebay now. They only joined on the 11th and the message today was sent off another new account set up today.

I didnt realise this was just a free sample size of perfume....

Title starts with the words "2ml" the description states 2ml.
There are 4 photographs, 3 of which include the vial including a close up of it on its own. I'm not entirely sure what was expected. I knew it was gonna be grief by them being new.

Told them to contact ebay, I already have because I suspect they're gonna lie to try to Trigger a return request now as I don't accept returns.

Can anyone tell me how you message users on eBay that you don’t have an open chat with?
Messed up an offer response! And no contact option available through the potential buyers profile.

How long do Evri ParcelShops keep the packages for? Something I sold arrived on Thursday and the buyer still hasn’t picked it up. Just want my £2.50 🙃 would it be rude to nudge them at this point?

This is strange. I’ve just sold a sample size on eBay on auction. Thought it would go 4 a few pounds & instead some1s paid close to £20! I bet they don’t realise it’s a tester either

If you've put the ML in and a photo showing the tester size (which my buyer said she'd picked some up from the shop so would 100% know that the vial and size matched ffs) then you'd be protected.

I've not heard anything back yet mind. Didn't even use the buyers account to message me

Hearing some rumours that apparently eBay is going to start charging buyer fees next year, and not release payment until the buyer receives the parcel.

As a buyer, eBay’s protection is much better than Vinted, so I don’t mind paying a fee, but as a seller I like receiving the money straight away.

I guess it was going to happen eventually, it was too good to be true having no seller or buyer fees!

Yes that’s the rumour, they want the buyers and sellers back first then that’s how they’ll get their fees I guess. I get the feeling that a lot of people are now getting fed up with Vinted so it may ignite EBay again.

some SS has suspended the transaction for a toddler cardigan I sold saying it’s the wrong size and significantly not as described as it doesn’t fit her kid, even though I literally had photos with every measurement with tape measure shown in the listing. Utter witch, not my fault she can’t measure her giant child is it!?

I’ve definitely seen a growing number of people complaining about Vinted - it’s great when things go well, but completely crap when it goes wrong!

It’ll be interesting to see what happens on eBay. I wonder if they’ll do 80% off fees for buyers like they used to do for sellers. Probably not 😅

Giant child 🤣 At least one good thing with Vinted (as a seller) is that you can make them pay the postage to send it back. Although you shouldn’t have to accept a return as you listed it correctly!

I thought EBay was in its death knells (sp?) but maybe it won’t be after all. I still sell on there so want it to remain. I always have either measurements or a tape measure on the item in my listings rather than guess so is a definite fuckwit that will be paying her own return postage and won’t be getting it back either. There wasn’t an option to refuse a return or I’d have refused it in this case.

if ive listed an item correctly but the buyer says i havent after recieving the item, where do i stand? i dont think i should accept a return?

You can raise it with Vinted instead of choosing a return I think? You don’t need to accept one as it was listed as described

Raise the case with Vinted saying you don’t wish to accept a return as it was as described, and show the description. I did this and they paid me.

First time ever my money is stuck in Vinted. They are saying there are “techinical” issues. Yeah right. They probably need to show money on the books or something

I requested mine on the 14 and it cleared in the 16. I was fully expecting it to take ages tbh, I wonder if lots are requesting their money this week for Christmas?

Can I measure this, that and the other……soz hun, no can do 🤪

Question , this person bought something it was a scarf and was 1.50 barely worth my while hit sure look.
Messaged me two days ago and said I want to cancel the order. I was like the item has been sent there is nothing I can do. Messaged back saying grand I won't accept order. I didn't respond.

Messaged me today with wave emojis and I replied being like I can't cancel your order as it's been sent. He then said there is a problem with the courier. I was like there is nothing to say there is an issue on my side. And he went me a screenshot which is on every message saying there is problem with shipments ( I assume this is due to weather or Christmas but stuff is being delivered - not worried)
Anyway I click on his profile , he has a 5 recent bad review from this week alone. He's a relevantly new account. My question is can I block him and I still get the money for my item if he accepts it or so I just wait it out.
