Why is vinted customer service so crap? Had a parcel bein returned 2 me, tracking says it’s at a parcel shop but no idea where, asked vinted 4 help & they’ve refunded the buyer & said I should have the item back within 25 days!!!!
 
Did you keep replying to the original message reporting it? I feel like they are now ignoring that message thread and have started another

I’ve read somewhere that people have charged back via their bank so may resort to that.
Yeah just kept replying on the item. Kept getting a response basically saying you've already raised as issue we will contact you within 48hours

I’ve just been through this. It’s tit - they’ll make you wait 25 days, then they’ll have your life and tell you to wait another 4 days (because that makes allllllll the difference right 🙄) and they will only refund you at that point. It’s not quick but I’ve finally just got mine refunded after parcel went missing in August. X
 
Does anything happen when they say they are taking action against a member, or do they just say it to shut you up?

I had a buyer ranting at me today, telling me to call Evri and find out where the parcel was, repeated demanding messages, the annoying as duck “helllooo??” messages and then telling me to duck off when I suggested she collect the parcel after it is delivered tomorrow according to the tracking.

So Vinted straight away said they would take action but does anything really happen? And she says she’s reported it as missing and says she’s refusing to pay, so I’m guessing she will just wait for it to be sent back, because Vinted won’t just refund when it’s got a clear delivery date will they?

Always has been they just don’t care however I think they’re gonna seriously need to start up in their game now that eBay aren’t charging any fees because they’re custom service is good and even though in recent years they do favour the buyer over the seller their nothing like vinted.

I think people are starting to realise this now. eBay should really market themselves as the safer platform with no buyer or seller fees.

eBay - no fees, full buyer protection and good customer support

Vinted - buyer pays a fee, forced to pay return postage and zero customer support

I sent another message to Vinted and they actually replied within a few hours after nothing all week. They’ve now handed everything over to inPost to investigate which will take up to 35 days. I must’ve gotten lucky and their one real human employee read my message 🥲

Same! The one person in customer services must have been working today. Actually seemed to grasp that there had been a mix up and not that the item was ‘not as described’
 
Did anyone else watch the vinted documentary on channel 4? Not quite so scandalous, though they tried hard. The bit about people scalping women's photos was quite alarming though.

Why can’t people package things properly 😭

Has anyone had an item damaged in transit recently? Did you have to pay to return it?

In the past they’ve refunded me without returning the item, but their auto-reply mentions having to pay return postage. Can’t remember if it used to say that?

Not friends with Vinted atm 🫠

An item I sold was damaged in transit a few weeks ago. The buyer raised an issue and Vinted started their so-called ✨ investigation ✨ 🙄 I seem to remember their automated message said the buyer could send the item back but they weren't obligated to. And I think I had the option to refund but then I couldn't be compensated for the damaged item. Turns out I wasn't compensated, the buyer was refunded and did not return the item (even though it was no longer wearable.)

And for the record I always package my stuff properly! I have always sent clothing in poly mailer bags and always will, despite Vinted's rules. My argument is if it's good enough for the retailers, it's good enough for me. How is a jiffy bag or cardboard box any more secure to a poly bag when sending clothes? Never had an issue with it until the above incident (bag ripped open, clothes wet and stained inside) but from now on, I double bag. 👀
