Watched the dispatches episode. I thought it was really well done.

I think we were all aware of a lot of the issues, knock off tat, abusive messages, tit customer service etc. I didn't know about the website stealing people's photos, though. Vile.

I'm surprised they didn't mention that reselling is against the TOCs and then featured a reseller?
I thought this...blatant reseller before Vinted pro went live aswell

It's always the people that send offers that don't confirm receipt on my vinted. I'm so done with them. No more offers being accepted from now on.
Some SS ‘accidentally’ got an item delivered to the wrong city. It got returned to me and she rebought it. It arrived 36 hours ago… has she marked all ok? Has she duck. Hope she steps on a plug.

I wento post 2 items today. 1st one went fine then lockers were full. The delivery guy pulled up so i was just chatting away to him. He pulled a parcel wrapped in a lidl bag then another in a sainsburys bag. I was laughing and he said he once had someone send a pair of trainers on their own- no box or bag or anything. Like wtf. Then he said someone else once sent something in a cereal box 😂😂😂

i then proceeded to tell him i was sending a bra to a guy 🙈

Is there a long afternoon wait at the STI clinic or something slag 🙄

It’s a bleeping collar. That doesn’t stand up or anything. And it’s £7. I just can’t be arsed hun sorry and the next one will be can they see it being worn 🙄

Today I made a decision to withdraw all my Vinted balance 😜

I started selling middle of July and have managed to ‘make’ almost £1200. This is from a major family decluttering spree.
Was of the mindset it was like recycling and I could use balance to shop things me or my family needs/wants for free!

But it hit me today, as I opened yet another impulse buy for a special occasion I have coming up, I’m defeating the decluttering purpose somewhat by ‘shopping my balance’
As you don’t necessarily think of it as money exchanging hands! More like a barter agreement!

My balance was down to £650, despite me initially promising myself I would sell and not spend, then withdraw at £500 😜 instead I kept ping ponging back and forth sell sell buy sell buy buy!
Money now moved across into an old bank account! And that’s where it’s staying until I find a worthwhile big item to splash out on as fruits of my labour 😜

Yes definitely withdraw your money! I don’t trust Vinted with £5 let alone £500. It’s much safer in your bank 🙂

Like you said, they know people are more likely to make impulse purchases with their balance as it doesn’t feel like you’re spending real money. That’s why eBay has recently stopped automatic payouts for the same reason - it makes you buy more!

I’ve been selling loads recently and I’ve had barely any annoying people, just loads of people who pay the asking price and don’t pester me for when I can post it. Watch me now get a string of annoying fuckers cos I’ve jinxed it 😂

I seem to be getting all the newbies who have no idea how Vinted works.

One has just messaged saying they will check the item today to make sure it is to their satisfaction, even though it arrived 14 days ago so I got the money 12 days ago. When I pointed this out, they said they get 30 days under “distance-selling regulations“.

Swap you????

Distance selling regulations 🤣🤣🤣🤣

A seller messaged to say she’d sent me the wrong item, so dont collect it from the locker when it arrives. i said no problem, I’ll leave it there, then she replied and said I’ll get the item to you ASAP. I can only assume she had two parcels to send, and muddled them up, but I’m guessing I’ll have to go through the faff of re buying. Also, how long does it take to get a refund on non-picked up items? My five star reviews are in the hundreds, I don’t want to risk those, either.

It will be sent back after 3 days, usually takes a few days to be delivered after that but it’s not too long. I had an inPost parcel returned to me and it was delivered to my house via Royal Mail. You can’t leave reviews for uncollected items, the sale is just cancelled so you don’t need to worry about that 🙂
