Secret Celebrity Gossip #182

The anti-Blake PR was very believable as she had something of a "mean girl" reputation prior to this and no one's going to doubt that she and Ryan think they're God's gift.

However, I also have no problem believing that Baldoni is a creep. He was always harping on about feminism and women's issues (for lack of a better term). That's always a 🚩 to me.

Men who actually respect women and treat them as equals don't need to brag about it all the time, and don't co-opt women's struggles to get praise for themselves.

I honestly can’t tell you why she’s famous. However, she does deserve a round of applause for maintaining her income for doing whatever it is that she does.

Im no expert, and I’m commenting without reading the entire suit, but I think the reasoning behind this lawsuit is more than just about the allegations. I think Blake lost a lot of money and respect from her peers based on how she conducted herself during the promo of the movie. Introducing her hair care line, being tone death about the true message of the movie, and flogging her alcoholic drinks every chance she got, didn’t put her in a positive light or get her any award nominations. I also think the long term goal is to somehow get the rights from Justin to direct the sequel.

That being said, two things can be right at the same time. Justin could well be a perv, and that absolutely needs to be dealt with. However, why not address this during production, or walk away from the project?

I’ve personally never cared for Ryan, and I think he’s behind this. He comes across very smug and condescending for someone with mediocre acting abilities.
Agree. She’s someone who’s never really connected with the public (just like Rita Ora really) and that’s mainly due to her being a stone cold witch in interviews and the like. She wouldn’t have a career if it wasn’t for Reynolds and she treated the promotion of a film about domestic violence as though it were a light hearted rom com she’d starred in.

Haven’t read the books the film is based on, mainly because they look like absolute tripe, but this is going to make it awkward for the sequel if there is one as I believe Justin’s character’s in that too.

Right. She does herself no favors.

I honestly think if he had a choice, she wouldn’t have a career at all. Something about him comes across as controlling. This was Blake’s big return to acting after having back to back babies and he was way more involved than he needed to be.

I read an interview in which Robbie said he wanted it to be a lion and they settled on a monkey..will see if I can find and if it explains why.

I find it really odd how involved Reynolds seems to have been in the film.

That Justin Baldoni is such a creep! These are only a few of the instances:

There was another actor I'm sure that said he wasn't what they expected in real life. He wasn't funny and was quite serious. Can't remember who now
That was Martha Stewart. Apparently they’re neighbours in real life. He then tweeted in reply
‘I’d disagree with her. But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so’ which proved her point that he isn’t funny.

Absolutely love The Bill. Another one was Taggart, not the really old one with McManus, but when it was Burke, Jackie and Robbie. So good.
My auntie used to live around where the Bill was filmed, so as a kid whenever we visited her we’d often see them filming or members of the cast. I felt like I was bumping into Hollywood stars lol. Plus as a kid I was a little weird and had a picture from the tv times of tosh and burnside on my wall, I was about 8!
