These 12ft links are a pain the arse. Half the time they don't work and they cut off the headline so you've no idea what they're about to begin with!

*old man yells at cloud*

Yes, what is going on with them. It seems to be whenever anyone links to a Mail or Guardian article.

Are posters deliberately using 12ft to create the links or does Tattle automatically turn them into 12ft links? Either way I wish they would stop because as you say it’s 50/50 whether the link works or not and when it does, the article has been zoomed in or enlarged so you can’t fit the width of the page onto your device

wow. Thrown under a bus. How? In all my working years, not once has someone at work got their dick out. You clearly think this was just high jinx

I think they probably mean similar to me, that certain people thought it was all a lark at the time and suddenly distanced themselves and pretended that they didn't encourage him by going on about it like it was hilarious.

They didn't even try and say something like ' I thought it was funny, but now I understand that it was making other people uncomfortable and I was wrong to laugh about it'. They let him suck up all the heat and faced no judgement from most of the public.

He probably would have done it anyway, but of it was made clear that if happened again he would be kicked off set and never brought back....maybe it wouldn't have gone on so long.

Additionally, the reason the tide turned on Barrowman was that Noel Clarke was accused of inappropriate behaviour on set which he denied, he then accused Barrowman. Which is a bit ' if I go down, I am taking you with me'.

It's always the same thing - they lie low for a bit then pop up again.

Men in particular don't really get cancelled - some women do, such as Roseanne Barr, which obviously shows where the power balance lies gender wise in those pulling the strings in the entertainment industry.

I just did a copy and paste of the link, sorry I don’t know anything about 12foot? Must be a DM thing. Sorry for any inconvenience

I still don’t get it. If a colleague got his dick out in our office, they’d be arrested. He’s repulsive and should never have got another job.

Tattle turned them. I copied the link from the browser and it ended up as one of those after I posted it.

This is very true, the grooming and charm will happen with everyone but they will only one target the ones who they feel are an appropriate target.

Back in the 80’s when I was about 10 I was groomed by the lead youth worker at my local youth group. On paper I was the perfect victim, in and out of care and with an abusive neglectful parent who didn’t give a tit what happened to me. He was lovely to me and I loved having a popular adult giving me attention and showing me kindness. I adored him and felt so special knowing that he showed more interest in me than others. Then he made his move and I didn’t react in the way he expected. When he had me alone and hugged me for what felt like forever sniffing my hair I froze. I felt uncomfortable with the physical contact and knew what would be next from previous experiences. I then knew that his interest in me was wrong and he knew I wasn’t going to be the easy victim he expected. From that day he barely looked in my direction and I actually felt sad and like I had done something wrong, especially when I saw him start to give more attention to another girl from an abusive home. When she started telling people they were in love and I saw the rest of the staff protecting him and being mad with her I knew it was true but I didn’t say anything because I knew nobody would believe me and a part of me still felt like I had done something wrong.

These men know exactly what they are doing and get away with it time and time again.
I want to acknowledge your story and say I see you. What you describe is similar to what happened to me and probably many others here. You are so right that these men know what they are doing, and yet everything culturally conspires to tell young women they are the ones who hold the power, when really they just don't.

I hope you've gone on to have a life which is bigger and more vibrant than the horrible experiences you had as a youngster ❤

I feel sad that at the very point when the internet facilitates the sharing of these collective experiences, the relentless ageism which is pushed at young women at the moment encourages them to write off anything older women might say. If we don't know the past we are doomed to repeat it.

Personally I think the issue is that people JB worked with laughed at his antics!!! As has already been said, David Tennant used it in a funny song!!!

But when the 💩💩💩 hit the fan, they all melted away and acted as if his behaviour was a surprise to them.

JB should have been told from the get go that his behaviour was unacceptable. But they didn't!!!
