Unrelated to this, thankfully, and there isn't a Conor Oberst thread. The new Bright Eyes album came out yesterday, and has a song on it called Real Feel 105°, which from the lyrics is pretty clearly about Phoebe Bridgers. In a similar vein to her song Moon Song probably being about Conor.

I worked for harrods in 2009. it was well known that Al Foyad would leave perfume and flowers for favourited female staff, normally the "by appointment" girls who were the personal shoppers. I always wondered why my older colleagues would send me on my lunch break whenever he was due to do a walk around on my department!...

I use a GLP1 medication similar to Ozempic. I don’t get the issue people seem to have with it. It’s fantastic for anyone who has obesity. It’s changed my life and many people I know. In fact it was the success another Tattler had with it that encouraged me to give it a go. There’s so much rubbish online and in the media about it. Anyone with a BMI over 30, which isn’t that high in the scheme of things, is eligible to take it provided they don’t have certain heath conditions or poor mental health.

Obesity causes so many other serious health problems, it’s great there’s finally something out there that really does help people.

I don't have an issue with people taking it (taken it myself) and I hate the tit about "stealing it from diabetics" etc like there's all these people in diabetic comas cos the fatties stole their meds.

But it boils my piss when celebs who've been fat or chunky their whole careers suddenly MIRACULOUSLY figure out the secret to being skinny but lie and pretend it's diet and exercise.

Sharon Osborne is about the only celeb who admits it, the rest of them just treat us like morons who came down in the last shower.
 
There is a lot of shame about people who need medical assistance to lose weight. Some people find 'food noise over powering, almost like having a drug addiction.

I have seen people saying that for the first time in their adult life they can make sensible food choices because they are no longer having obsessive and overwhelming thoughts of food all the time. The drugs are a game changer and a life saver.

I think that there is some backlash because for the last few years body positivity has been popular, but bodyposi has been taken over by people into fat acceptance, who refuse to accept that there are any negative consequences from weight and the only reason to be a smaller weight is social pressure or because you don't love yourself enough. These people can be very nasty towards anyone who loses weight.

There are also some people who are abusing the drugs. Using them more frequently than needed or trying to lie about their weight to get them. Those people are being very foolish as they are using a medical substance incorrectly and that can have serious consequences.


The celebs lying about it are doing a lot of harm imo. Imagine you are doing everything you can to lose weight and then some celeb drops 2 stone over night and says it because they started doing yoga and walking their dog more. It would make you feel really bad about yourself, like you were a massive failure.
