$cientology fasciantes me, it's so batshit and ruins lives but still people sign up. Did you see the documentary Going Clear that came out years ago? It was very good but not shown in the UK, at least not at the time of the original release.

The Leah Rimini series “S… and the aftermath” was an eye opener. Worth seeking out if it fascinates you. My face was for most of it. I learned a lot.

I'd also recommend Leah Remini and Mike Rinder's series Scientology & the Aftermath if you haven't seen it. Some quit harrowing stories but fascinating.

I've thought this for a long time. Considering what a minority Trans people are, there is definitely a disproportionate number amongst the offspring of celebrities. I feel it's the essential accessory for some of these celebs, a bit like when they all had chihuahuas.

Kids from artsy families always tend to be a bit weird.

When I was at school they’d find their tribe of fellow Lord of the Rings fans, wear a lot of black and paint their nails/dye their hair to match. They’d be harmless but somewhere on the spectrum of “spectacularly odd” or “a little weird but actually fairly normal once you get to know them”.

They might start a band or get into fantasy games.

That was 15-20 years ago. The same kids today are instead pushed into getting double mastectomies and taking medication that fucks up their pubescent bodies irrevocably.

Parents who encourage transing their children should be arrested.

Now that he's incurred the ire of both the outgoing and incoming governments, David Tennant might want to up his disguise game. He was spotted this week trying to shield himself from public attention by wearing an old baseball cap, chunky glasses and doing a weird half-gurn thing to stick out his jaw.

The overall effect might have worked, were it not undermined by one small detail. Him holding hands with his very recognisable celebrity wife – who made no attempt at a disguise.
