$cientology fasciantes me, it's so batshit and ruins lives but still people sign up. Did you see the documentary Going Clear that came out years ago? It was very good but not shown in the UK, at least not at the time of the original release.

I saw Going Clear on Sky, so it must be available here now.

I'd also recommend Leah Remini and Mike Rinder's series Scientology & the Aftermath if you haven't seen it. Some quit harrowing stories but fascinating.

It's like the 90s/early 00s when every celeb had to adopt a non-white child. Absolutely Fabulous even took the mic in an episode.

I think it’s a two-fold phenomenon: celeb parents encourage it in order to advertise how ‘progressive’ they are and endear themselves to a whole new fan base; and for the child it is probably quite hard to ‘stand out’/feel ‘special’/develop your own identity when you’re growing up in a famous family.

Angelina Jolie handled it perfectly: let your child crack on with being who they want to be, for however long they want to pursue that path, be quietly supportive in the background, and don’t make it about you.

The Tennants have failed spectacularly in this respect.

I just stumbled on a twitter thread showing how 'great' Georgia is, it's Georgia replying to numerous tweets about David Tennent when he or she haven't been tagged, read creepy as hell to me!

The Tennant's are making it all about them. As you say Angelina was a shining example here. Leave the child to live their life and see where they go.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have one child each that is (possibly) trans and one who is non binary. The odds are nuts. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Indeed. And, stepping beyond the trans issue, the general public should know next to NOTHING about a celebrity’s children.

Imagine being ten years old and having your famous parents announce on social media, to hundreds of thousands of strangers across the world, that you’re ‘not straight’. WTAF?!

She wants to be careful, that sort of thing is how Alice Evans got started and look where she's ended up!

(I'm not suggesting that Georgia is abusive or anything like Alice, just that making your entire identity about getting into your husband's fandom leads nowhere good)

All this. Also being famous and having children doesn’t make you an expert on having children! Just like all those idiots who bring out parenting books when they have a baby.

Not only that, but if the child changes their mind down the line as kids sometime do, how do they cycle back from it when the parents have announced it to the world and made it their pet project? It’s completely irresponsible.
