I really warmed to Johnny Vegas on Taskmaster and that camping thing he did. But something I’ve always remembered from years ago is him appearing on Graham Norton (it may have been Jonathan Ross) he was prattling about and getting in the other guests personal space in the green room and one of them was Joan Collins. I remember her looking uncomfortable and then he spoke to her really dismissively. I remember feeling it was really unpleasant to watch, she hadn’t even said anything.

Edit: just want to add the quote from the article that it felt there was an ‘air of menace’ that’s what it felt like watching the above.

Mr Tumble always gave me the creeps! Hated my kids watching him.
The fact that he plays multiple characters on the TV show and (I think) a panto/stage show just makes me think he's a bit too fond of himself, he has to be centre of attention, even if it is for a childrens audience.
Funnily enough I'd only heard good things about Justin Fletcher. That he spends ages after his shows with the children with special needs, talking to them.
Aware how dodgy that sounds these days but I mean in a good way!

I'd love to see Joan burst him like a slimy balloon.

I hadn't read that article about his molestation of a woman at the Bloomsbury Theatre. Jesus Christ on a bicycle. Hope whatever money and connections Maia Dunphy got out of him was worth it for her, the simpering doll.

You only have to read Frank Skinner's autobiography to find out what he is like, it's pretty grim in places.
Yes I just read his first wife was 17 when they got together. He was early 30s and her lecturer.
He constantly cheated on her and made her watch pornography which she hated, then shouted at her and called her frigid when she wouldn't act them out. Grim stuff.

Comedian and Celebrity Gogglebox star Lucy Beaumont said she was targeted by male predators in the industry and could name '10 to 15' offenders

Have any of the older generation of female comedians spoken out yet? Not necessarily about Brand but about the scene in general? I know I would value hearing from them as am sure the younger generation who are daring to speak out would.

It’s bollocks, that’s what it is. But it’s a very popular view amongst a certain type of person who feels angry and disenfranchised and like they have no control over their lives.

One of my favourite things to talk about is “external locus of control” people. Once you start noticing it, you see it everywhere.

Basically, it’s easier to convince yourself that all of the problems in your life have nothing to do with your actions, and are instead due to shady, murky outside factors - aka The Man is out to get you. It’s a great way of never taking responsibility for your actions. And that applies to everything from petty criminals moaning that they’re always getting picked up by the law, to the mothers who genuinely believe “The Social” takes children away for no reason, conspiracy nuts, and so on…

RB has tapped into this niche perfectly.

Excellent graphic. It reminds me of this quote:

“Shallow men believe in luck. Strong men believe in cause and effect.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson.

A Dad on another board I'm on told the tale of his young boy spotting JF browsing at a market.

Boy: "Look, Dad! It's Mr Tumble!"
JF *going over to the boy* "Ssh! I'm actually here in disguise. Don't tell anyone you've seen me " ;)

The wee chap was enthralled, Dad impressed. Always thought that was a good angle to play.

Of course we need to teach our children boundaries but some women, for whatever reason, don't get the benefit of that. There are a lot of reasons why young women would put themselves in a situation you or I might see as dangerous. It's very easy as an adult to look at this behaviour as risky but you can't expect a teenager or young adult to think in the same way we do as adults. All you can do is the best by your kids and hope they remember it. The ones who don't have the luxury of good parenting or people looking out for them however aren't asking for it, they aren't stupid, they don't make themselves victims or anything else that people will say. They are just unlucky and they need to be believed and supported.
Should be taught in schools tbh. Girls need to be taught it’s ok to say no, porn isn’t what real sex looks like and that vaginas don’t have to be shaved. Boys also need to be taught that no means no no matter when it’s said, a person isn’t frigid or lame if they don’t want to send pics or video themselves. And it works both ways. And whatever else they’re upto now. Bloody terrifies me what teenagers get up to and what they think is ok

bleeping hell. That's beyond grim.

Using his fat, drunken buffoon act to assault a young woman. Foul bleep.
This is the worst part:
Johnny Vegas complained about this article. His solicitors have been in contact with the young woman from the audience who has told them that she went along with the joke willingly and did not feel intimidated, scared or abused during this performance.
